I would just call and confirm your scan date with NVC

1. On March 17th our lawyer sent in the documents to the NVC and on March 22nd received an email from the NVC confirming that they received our documents. Would March 22nd  be the official SD?

2. Even though we have a lawyer handing this case. Would it be okay if I called the NVC to check on the case status or does it have to be our lawyer? I am the petitioner filing on behalf of my husband.

march 22nd is your scan date.and yes you, the lawyer and your husband can all call to check on your case.

Thanks. I'll just wait for maybe 1-2 weeks before I force myself going down to the embassy in Manila and ask them. Good luck with yours!

This would drive me nuts! But I totally understand wanting peace of mind from a lawyer. Maybe your husband can call and say that you want it submitted this week because that gives you a chance of getting  a case complete before the next round of interview scheduling. And that you really want a June interview. You probably know more about this process than the lawyer does at this point...I wouldn't hesitate overpowering him & firmly saying "we're giving you a deadline of Friday to submit"!

hey when u finish ur ds 260, do u have option to email a copy to print later or u have to print that very time? my personal computer doesnt have printer so not sure if i finish there and print later or should i complete on work laptop so i can print right away?

Arrrrr what the *** is “supervisor” at NVC. I thought after having a case number, everything will go smoothly. But I got stuck on the IV fee now. It will be 1 week tomorrow since I paid the fee. I just called and asked what if it is still not process tomorrow, NVC told me then they will send to supervisor for review and it takes 6 weeks for that. I really have no more patience with them.

wow really i hope this step is automatic and no person has to do something.....after 1 week talk to supervisor...

no in process. took money saturday. and when i check status it says action required and to complete ds 260 so sounds like its ready for next step but not changed to paid yet....

I hope it is automatic also. After we pay the fee, the status online will change to complete DS260. So you paid yours on Thursday? I paid mine on Thursday, $ taken on Saturday.
