That’s more specific information than NVC gives me. I was approved Dec 21st. Took 5 weeks for it to reach NVC on Feb 1st. When I first called they told me I’ll have a case number in 2 weeks. 2 weeks later, they said they have a lot more cases and it’ll take longer. They did send it to a supervisor after 2 weeks. Then I called 2-3 Times a week and nobody could give me a time frame. They in week 7, they told me it’s taking 8 weeks to assign a case number. And now it’s week 9 and nothing. The guy just told me “any day now” yesterday.

I hope you get your case number on Monday. Good luck! At this point, I believe nothing they say.

When I called on Monday, they asked for petitioner’s name, applicant name and birthday, so it seems that there was something done on the case. They also gave me the invoice number.

i will be calling tonight (I have a 12 hour time difference) as today marks end of week 9!

Hello guys,

I have one more question :(

I am a little confused on which form I should use for the sponsorship (AOS). At first I thought I am using I-864; but then when I did more reading I realized I might need to use form I-864EZ!!

I am sponsoring my wife, the original form I filed was I-130 and I am the only sponsor. can I get some advice PLEASE! :(

If you are only sponsoring your wife, you can use I-864EZ. No problems with using I-864 but it is longer so there's no point :)

My lawyer still hasn't submit my documents...I'm frustrated. I submitted all the documents on March 22 and he still hasn't upload to ceac. Sucks because I feel like the days are wasted while my paperwork lie on his desk!!!

you can upload it to ceac yourself and then ask him to review and submit? might make it less time consuming for him?

you can use either. The i-864EZ, as in the name is easier.

It isn't stated in the list and as far as I know, the beneficiary's photos are only needed at the interview. Someone correct me if I am wrong?

I just called and the rep asked for all of that information as well. I agree this gives us some hope. I wasn't given an invoice number though. He told me that "looks like everything is in the system and they are doing the last quality check. Once they do that, they assign a case number and send you an email as well." I asked for any specific time frame, he said he can't give a specific time frame but should be within 2 weeks.

I hope you get yours today!
