Congrats to everyone on receiving case numbers or CC!

I called last night and still no case number. This Thu will be 9 weeks since NVC receive date (Feb 1). I’ll call again tonight :(

My husband called today and they told him that our case arrived on January 20th and that a supervisor Is already working on it (true or not?). They also said that my case number Will be given for sure next Monday. NVC Is changing the Arrival of my case to their office so many times. My l130 was approved on December 16th.

So, I was able to pay the IV fee today & did so straight away a few hours ago. :)

However, I have a few questions that I'm sure others have explained but I wouldn't know where exactly in these threads to find it so I'm just going to ask:

1. Does anybody know about how many days it should be until the DS-260 is unlocked?

2. At what point am I supposed to mail out the AOS/IV packet?

Thanks for any help!

That’s more specific information than NVC gives me. I was approved Dec 21st. Took 5 weeks for it to reach NVC on Feb 1st. When I first called they told me I’ll have a case number in 2 weeks. 2 weeks later, they said they have a lot more cases and it’ll take longer. They did send it to a supervisor after 2 weeks. Then I called 2-3 Times a week and nobody could give me a time frame. They in week 7, they told me it’s taking 8 weeks to assign a case number. And now it’s week 9 and nothing. The guy just told me “any day now” yesterday.

I hope you get your case number on Monday. Good luck! At this point, I believe nothing they say.

Yeah. I really don’t understand NVC. They process my AOS fee so fast (3days), but my IV fee has been processing for5 days already. I only have to complete my DS260 and that’s it, but the wait is forever.

has your ds 261 been reviewed?

Yes it was. Ds261 had to be reviewed before IV fee open.

there were a couple people who mentioned it opening before they paid their fees so was just asking to see if that might be why the application wasnt opening. Nonetheless they say to give them up to a week to process.

I can’t answer the first question but you can send your AOS and IV packet once you have the bar coded AOS letter (it’s in the welcome letter). I plan to send mine off in the next couple of days.

Does anyone know if you have to wait to receive your welcome email before you can call NVC to review your 261 ? It's strange because it unlocked this morning for me and I submitted 261 sucessfully but still have not received any email.

Thank you.

That's what I read online 11 weeks but people posted recently cases getting completed within 6 weeks.

Spoke to an operator at nvc today and was told that I have to wait 6 weeks for the review of my documents. Scan date 03/19/2018

You need to call them and ask them to review it, if you are talking about appointing an agent.

this is the fasted option.

Hello everyone,

do we need to submit photographs when we send the IV and Aos docs? I cannot remember if I read this somewhere!

My case is pivot and I have to send my IV docs via email, what is the estimate time of getting CC  if no checklist is required?
