Hey Guys! My wife has the interview scheduled for june 12 th 2018. I wanted to know how long does it usually take to get the passport with the visa back if you happen to choose premium processing ? Between, the interview is held at US Consulate Mumbai and my wife lives in Chennai..

I don't know. How do we find out? Is it by country?

Yes, it's by country. If the embassy in your country uses online system( uploading documents on CEAC website) then your case is pivot. You can call NVC and ask if it's pivot or not because the list for pivot countries has been removed.

Yeah I think we'll try to get them all even though he won't technically be residing there once we get to that stage the NVC page on the US Department of State webpage wasn't very clear. It said that only if they are currently residing in a foreign country and have been there more than 6 months. But I know most people just get them from anywhere they have resided. Do you know if it's easy to get them without actually being in the country?

It took us 3-4 weeks to get a police certificat from Ireland in which we had to write to even get it.. when it came back it wasn’t even stated to be a police certificate which i hope that works because the Irish officer I called told me that’s what they send. Jeez..out of all of them Ireland may be the hardest to get.

Have everyone started gathering documents they may need now before you got your case number as to not waste time? I’m thinking about it all now..and my husband needs a new passport from his country in Brazil as well as police certificates from his hometown and some other minor stuff...i’m Trying to think ahead and be prepared....seems like once we all get the case number things move rather at a good pace and from case complete usually within 60 days we get an interview....any thoughts?? Thanks ❤️

Well the good thing is Ireland is his home country so he'll be able to go in person to get it. I'm just worried about Greece because he hasn't been there in almost a year and it seems like their process is more difficult.

That's what I'm trying to do. I don't want any delays once I actually get the case number and start filling out the forms.

2 business days to show up in the system and then you can call them to review it. that's it and next day you will get confirmation email too.

Fifty days exactly, from the day USCIS sent out the case. I filled out my ds-261 through the CEAC and am paying through it as well. Would that mean pivot?

I think your case is non pivot. For pivot case, case number takes 8-10 weeks from the day NVC receives.
