Hi! Thank you for your positive remark. :) I was stunning and shocked when this happened and very unfortunate that happened to me. What you are saying may be correct, but if they follow the receipt date I would be in June to receive a case number. I really hope I will get sooner but I doubt. Thanks.

Hey...idk if the same will happen to you but i got my case number within 17 days off the new receipt date n one of the other members got it on the same day...i think they might be working faster for new pivot cases. I hope it happens to you too! They told me eight weeks too when i called. . Just email them at asknvc@state.gov too, explaining the situation

I think they didn’t follow the new receipt date, and instead got their case numbers faster than the pivot cases...what I have learned through the process in waiting for the case number is don’t believe the customer representative say.

True customer service just keep saying the script "Allow 8 weeks etc..."

Maybe they say 8 weeks on the phone because it's the script but the actual team working on pivot cases might work on mine sooner since they see it sitting there for quite a while. Hopefully they don't follow the new receipt date. 17 days after new receipt date is good! I hope the same.... One member got case number even the same day they told me the new receipt date?? That's crazy haha :)

Ugh so sorry!! I would write a bad review of them to the better business bureau! But now that it's correct you should get case complete very soon!

I'm so annoyed with them and will write a bad review. Because when the assistant uploaded the translated marriage certificate she uploaded the one I told her not to because it was missing a part that the translator didn't add to the translation. I called NVC to ask if we can re upload the document and the agent I talked told me to wait because its being reviewed and he didnt think it was a big deal. That if anything my husband can taken the corrected certificate to the interview.

So lets see. But I did call the lawyer and expressed my disappointment and anger to them for once again screwing up.

Usually in most cases US embassy issues visa next business day or sometimes in two however what you can do is collect passport from embassy that can reduce mailing days cause they can take up to 3 days to get home delivered. If lucky you might get passport on same day few in this community have got it. However it is always good to give minimum 5working days after visa approval date.

All the best ^_^

Congratulations. What is your Case Complete date? Interviews for India are getting scheduled.

Guys! I saw a few posts like this but we also got case number! Noa2 from potomac on 3/22 ...rec'd nvc 4/5 and case # this morning via email 4/28. We were set in to wait for the 8-11 weeks that seem common lately!! The payment system is down all weekend but who cares! Happy dance time except my hubby is still sleeping and I tried to call and message him all morning haha I am not sure why this is sped up. We heard the 8 week thing every time we called but one person mentioned almost all of our info was uploaded and that was a good sign. That was probably about a week ago. Hang in there! Wishing us all quick interview dates!!

Do I have to send employment letter as well while sending AOS packets?

Employment letter is one form of proof of current income. You have other options, like pay stubs.

Hope so, but doubtful. Probably just a one off. Glad you don't need to go through the nightmare of waiting weeks on end for case number though, wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Congrats and hope you get a quick cc and your interview gets scheduled for June.
