waiting on interview.. got a case complete 4/13, any idea how long it takes to hear? or a way to find out the current wait time for an embassy/consolate?

it depends on embassy and unfortunately there is nothing online to find the current wait time. Call NVC to ask when usually they schedule for your consulate. Some schedule end of the month while others do it mid of the month.

Congrats! It is best to keep travel at least 2 weeks after interview date. They usually take at least 3 business days to return your passport. You want to be safe in case they ask you to come back for some reason.

After paying the AOS fee and it being marked "Paid," the IV fee still has not opened up. I paid the AOS fee 2 weeks ago... Is this something I need to call NVC about? Or, do I just have to keep waiting?

1. There is no where on the timeline for SD per se. It is the day you uploaded your documents (if PIVOT)

2. it would say, "Please sumbit your documents..."

Are you talking about here at the bottom under Status?

A lot of embassies are becoming pivot now that might be why. Same thing happened to me.. When you call ask specifically if italy is a newly pivot consulate

I dont think its pivot, never been. I dont know if this month this has changed, even though they shouldnt push it forward the case received date. From March 15 to April 17 this is crazy!! I was waiting for a case number today not a pushed date today.

Update: So I called NVC and they said that they just received it today officially and I told to this nice lady that I called already in the past saying this case was received on March 15 and said that they cannot see the history of the case received but she made a guess that before was a normal mail case and now said "you got lucky" LOL they put you into the electronic filing. I asked if Italy is electronic filing and they said yes. So they changed everything, I know somebody who got case number in February was for sure NOT a pivot case. So, looks like I am a pivot case although not sure. I hope I dont have to wait 8 more weeks or 10 for pivot case number from today. It's so frustrating. :( They should have kept the March 15th date as a reference now I have to wait 2 more months (I know ppl wait 10 weeks for pivot case number). Absurd.
