Hy when your case was received by nvc did you call them or they told you by their own?

Whenever i call from a week they repeat the same thing your case is not in our system,it may takes upto 6 weeks for us to receive your case.

Yeah I called them. I was so mad that they didn't send my case early. I was approved on Feb 26 and sent it on Mar 19

Dear all,

I have a quick question: My husband quickly filed for our taxes before he deployed last week. He sent me all the documents that we would need for the NVC stage but he forgot the W2. He is active duty military and we currently have the 1040, pay stubbs, employment letter but no W2.

Should I sent it in anyway or is all effort in vain? Am I just risking a RFE? What options do I have?

People who need to get police certificated from other countries than your current residence country, when did you start to gather those?

I need to get police certificates from Estonia (current residence country and citizenship), Germany and New Zealand. I already had German one but that has expired by now :( So I don't want to jump ahead again and go through the hassle once more just to have everything expire. Because I understand I need all the police certificates before our case can be sent to embassy?

(Still waiting for case number though)

If your case has reached NVC, I would say it's time to get police certificates. They are generally valid for a year, and it is unlikely your case will be stuck at NVC for a year.

We got case number and invoice number over phone, but told to wait for next 4 weeks for a welcome mail.Do they really took 4 weeks? NVC received date March 15.

Not really likely. I got mine in a couple of days, and the most I have read is about a week. In any case, since you have your case number and invoice number, just try to log into the system. If it allows you to fill in the DS-261 and pay fees, just do it first, even without the welcome mail.

Has anyone handed in their NVC paperwork with the 1040 and above documents only? Gosh, I am so disappointed... hope you can give me hope.

No. We sent in transcripts for 2015 and 2016, and for 2017, because he had to paper file, the transcript isn't available yet, so we sent in the 1040 with W2. My understanding is that if you are sending 1040, you need the W2 to reflect the wages. And these tax documents are to show previous income. The other things like pay stubs and employment letter are to show current income.
