Thank you very much for answer my question. Second, if you can explain to me what is pivot case and non-pivot case. I searched on google but I didn't give me the exact answer

I see someone else answered that you're a non pivot case...it just means that you'll mail your documents to NVC. Pivot cases are the ones using the electronic processing (not all embassies are doing that yet). So you'll get your case number a little faster, hopefully in 5-6 weeks like the poster above said. Good luck!

Hi all,

I have one doubt. Do we have to send original i864 signed in ink or is it fine if we send a printout of it after scanning copy of the fully completed and signed i864. Any help is highly appreciated.

On NVC website they said copy is fine. But I send original. I think if you send a printout then they will require you to print the original with you on your interview dayz

I can take the original with me for interview. The problem is that my wife is with me abroad now. She is the petitioner. Her brother, who is still in the US will be putting together all the forms and sending the packages to NVC
So, it will be easier for us if the scanned and printed copies of i864 furnished by my wife will be sufficient. :)

I sent original, so I cannot tell you for sure. You may need to wait for someone who has done it before to inform you about this. Good luck.

According to this link, it says from dec 2016 onwards, 'sign in ink' is not mandatory. :(

I just spoke to NVC and confirmed package has been received . However person told me to wait for 6 weeks. Is it anyway agent over phone can give you scan date or have to wait to get scan date?
NVC already took 10 weeks to give me case number cause of co-ordination issue between NVC and USCIS.
Just don't like NVC's waiting game. -_-

Just talked to NVC about my case and I asked your question. The lady told me we can send the copy of the form, but will have to bring original to interview. Hope this help.

Are you pivot case? If you send documents over the mail means you are reg case, but why does it take 10 weeks for you to get case number?

Mine is a pivot case and I'm having trouble to upload my documents on CEAC today! I don't know why but it shows a message like "Please correct the following error(s): Select a File: Webservice unable to scan file.". I already checked the size of my documents which are under 2mb but it is still not working :(...it is just missing my civil documents to submit and then wait for their review :(

No it is regular till my knowledge however there was a miscommunication between NVC and USCIS. NVC had no idea I got I-30 approved so I waited for up to 5 weeks to cal them and when I checked with them they asked for another 5 to 6 weeks to give me case number.

This time I don't want to waste anytime waiting. So wanted to know when I call NVC do I ask them for scan date or just wait for 6 weeks tp get one.
