Oh shoot I didn't really think about that as I had the docs prepared so long ago. I just submitted 2016-2015-2014. Do you think they will expect 2017 returns right away?

My case got sent today April 25th to the department of state finally! My approval date was April 16th ☺😊☺

Hi everyone I need advice.

My husband doesn't have his birth certificate, but in the 90s, his father obtained a declaration of age (legal) from the courts, but it's been so long and it looks really old so the photocopies aren't very clear.

Should he get another one done? Will they consider it suspicious that he just got another one? Also should he attach the old one too?

I would really appreciate advice on this. Thank you

Fellow Nigerian, tell your husband to take the sworn affidavit of age/age declaration to the National Population Commissions in his residential state to obtain An Attestation Of Birth along with 2passport photographs and some fees. That's the only replacement of birth certificate NVC accepts from Nigerians.

Do you happen to know how much the fees are?

Hi everyone!

I just got 2 emails.

One says that NVC has received all documents and the embassy will schedule the interview and one other one says petitioner needs to submit W2 forms.

2 messages on the Ceac portal too. One saying documentary qualified other saying that petitioner needs to submit the W2 form.

Status is still submit required documents.

Called NVC the guy said i dont need to submit the W2 form. I need to bring it to the embassy.

Thoughts anyone? I am confused cuz the status doesn't say "at nvc"

Hmmm this is confusing. Try calling NVC again a little bit later to confirm with another rep that you don’t need to submit anything on CEAC. If two of them confirm then I’m sure you’ll be fine. I don’t know if uploading more documents when not needed delays the interview process further. I would just call NVC again to confirm.
