I got my case number and Invoice ID today but when I enter the info on NVC to choose an agent then I get this message:

"Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please contact the National Visa Center if you believe that you have received this message in error. "

Do I need to worry about this or is this just a default message before DS-261 is available?

Wait 2-3 days, unless you get the NVC welcome letter in mail, it will remain this way. :)

THE NEXT STEP WILL BE NICE AND SMOOTH. IT WILL NOT BE LONG BEOFRE THEY KNOW THEY GET

is it realistic that I get my case # and everything done (so I hold my Green card) within 5 months? So basically 3 months after the case # is assigned?

Cheers

CC today!!! Yay!!!

Status changed to “At NVC”

On the CEAC website, we got a message saying our documents are approved and document Status changed to “accepted” for both AOS and civil documents.

Also got an email telling us all of our documents are approved by the NVC

Congratulations! I am hoping for our CC today! we submitted everything on 19th April! *Fingers crossed*

NVC received our documents April 12th, 12 days later we got a checklist for our marriage certificate, incorrect issuing authority.  I am so annoyed at myself that I somehow sent the wrong one when I have the correct version on hand.  I immediately mailed the correct version next day delivery, it will arrive tomorrow at 3pm.  Does anybody know about how long it takes for nvc to review after a checklist?  Thank you

I'm not sure how long but most threads I have seen saying up to 11 weeks. I'm thinking maybe 1-2 weeks. Fingers crossed! Btw, we live in same city/state :D

By the way anyone knows how long the police certificate counts as valid? Is it three months after receiving or 6 month? (German Police certificate without entries)

1 year from issue date unless there is a shorter validity date on the police certificate itself.

I don't see a problem with that as long as you don't get any checklists and your embassy is not busy (if they are, you could be waiting a bit for an interview date).

11 weeks was the old time frame NVC quoted. Now they are quoting 6 weeks. But you are right. Most are done in 1-2 weeks :D

Hasn't the form been replaced by I-130A?
