Hey all, I JUST RECEIVED MY CASE # AFTER 10 LOOOOONNNNGGG WEEKS!!!! NVC RECEIVED: Feb 14 CASE # & INVOICE ID # RECEIVED: April 25 PIVOT CASE.

Hello everyone I'm new to this group. Here is my timeline:

NVC (603) 334-0700

I call every Monday & Wednesday 6am PST Get through with no problem.

NOA1 PD 08/14/28 TSC CR1

03/30/18 NOA2 new MyUSCIS site, no app alert no email no text

04/12/18 Online showed my case was sent to DOS.

04/16/18 called NVC have not received my case yet

04/18/18 called NVC have not received my case yet can take up to 5wks

04/19/18 NVC inquiry response email saying they received my case to wait 8wks.

04/20/18 called NVC said they haven't received my case can take up to 8wks

04/23/18 called NVC they received the file on 04/18/18 no file # yet

It's not an issue, if in the interview they ask what preparations have you done to move with your spouse to the US. you can say I have resigned my job and have started shortlisting companies to apply or something like that ;)

Soo guys I just called nvc there was a nice guy name alice,i told him uscis receipt number and he told me that there is still not this number in their system.

I just want to make sure that nvc received it yet!
I told him our case was approved on 7 apriL and  the status change (sent to nvc on 19 apriL.)

So already near 3 weeks passed from the approval.
He told me to wait 6 weeks!!!
Is this normal for them to say this to everyone to wait for 6 weeks?
As i have heard that nvc receive case in 2 to 3 weeks

NVC received Feb 14. Still waiting on Case Number. Pivot Case (Canada)

 

Lady told me NVC had entered all the info from our case into their system  on Thursday, but said it still may take 1-2 weeks to generate a case number?

Totally normal. Our NOA2 was dated 13th Dec 2017, Online status changed to Sent to DOS on 22nd January 2018 and NVC Received our file 30th January 2018.

It is not the date that your I-130 is approved that determines when NVC gets it. It is the date the USCIS sends your case to NVC. So in your case, it was only sent on 19 April. It takes about one week from that date for NVC to receive it. The 6 weeks is for you to get a case number.

Same thing for me, pivot cas (Canada), NVC received 13 february, no invoice number,

4/13 - Notice of acceptance (Text/ email) - Case assigned to TEXAS

4/18 - Notice of acceptance (regular mail USPS)

10/4- RFE - for intial evidence notice online

10/19/2017 RFE notice received

10/20/17 - RFE response sent

10/21/2017 - RFE delivered to USCIS address

10/23/2017 - USCIS system updated " Response to USCIS request for evidence was received

1/22/2018 - Approved (Tier2 informed me by phone)

2/8/2018 - Case Sent to NVC

2/21/2018 - NVC received case 

3/30/2018 - Case & Invoice number over the phone

3/30/2018 - DS-261 completed

4/2/2018 - Welcome letter by email

4/3/2018 -  Paid $120 & $325

4/10/2018 - Sent IV & AOS documents

4/11/2018 -  Post office delivered documents to NVC

4/11/2018 - Completed DS260
