NVC received march 16. Start of the week 6 today without case number. Non-pivot case.

NVC received my case March 20th. non-pivot as well. We should both be getting our case numbers within  a day or so of each other.

Yes I'm hoping to get it by end of this week or early next week. Most non-pivot cases seems to be taking 35 to 45 days.

We uploaded all our documents on 19th April (Pivot case). Do we need to call NVC for an update or just wait for the case complete email?

Hi guys, NVC received our paperwork also 6 weeks ago and no case # yet. 

19th of March they got the paperwork. Anyone knows how long the process from NVC receiving the case till the Green card will approx. take? Hope no longer than 5 months total?? Cheers

If you are a pivot case (you should call NVC to find if you are pivot or not) will take up to 11 weeks to get a case number. Non-pivot cases take anywhere from 5-7 weeks for case number. 

 

As far as how long, it is hard to tell. It depends on a lot of factors including, pivot case, embassy, etc.

Thanks for the quick reply. I called like an hour ago and they said it usually takes 8 weeks right now. They cant give me any Info yet. What does pivot case mean? Cheers.
