Just called NVC. They received my case on March 20th. They wouldn't tell me if a case number had been assigned yet. On a positive note, today marks exactly one month since they received it, so I should hopefully have a case number soon. ::fingers crossed:: I just hope NVC isn't a black hole like Nebraska was.........

Nope, not PIVOT. My lawyer has all the documentation ready to send to NVC. I hope this part of the process passes in a blink of an eye.

I’m petitioning for my mom and my current income to my household size is less by $600 of the poverty guideline.

In order for assets to help me qualify, my assets would have to equal at least five times the difference

(5 x $600). The net value of the assets equaled to at least $3,000.

What evidence is more acceptable by NVC. A letter from my bank stating the amount of money I have in my checking and saving accounts or the statement of the last 12 months, which is a lot to upload in CEAC. Please share your experience if you used the ASSETS TO SUPPLEMENT INCOME REQUIREMENT

That used to be the case but not anymore. Nowadays Non-pivot cases are taking 30 to 50 days for case number.

yup it's usual for 4 to 6 weeks. the user mentioned already 4 weeks were done so in a week or two would be normal.

I don't know if it helps but I sent my bank statements (had the bank print them up for me) from the past 2 months. I am non pivot so I mailed them.

This not true. I am from TSC. Approved on 5th and send to NVC on 19th.

you are lucky then! it took me 4 weeks for them to just receive in NVC and another 5 weeks for case number. TSC usually takes around 3 to 4 weeks unfortunately. they may have started doing it faster now

Hello guys another questions here....We  have JOINT SPONSOR....their  join income (h/w) according to IRS 1040 form on "ADJUSTED GROSS INCOME" is more than $100k....Do they still need to submit EMPLOYMENT LETTER and 3 mo. PAY STUB?  If yes, since their tax is filed jointly, will both husband and wife should submit their own employment letter and pay stub?.....Anyone experienced this?
