No it's mandatory. That's how they notify you to pick up your passport when it's ready. I had interview on Thursday and got email Monday morning that passport was ready for pickup.

Thanks.

Who else is interviewing in Lagos embassy on Tuesday. I'm so nervous 😢😢😢😢, I can't sleep.

Don't be nervous. The interview is not that bad with the consulate.

I had my interview 11 days ago in Lagos it lasted for about two minutes and passport was ready for pickup in two days. I just entered the US last weekend. Good luck!

Thanks. Hey did you take I-864 and 2017 tax returns ?

A window before the interview window where they collect few documents asked me for returns of 2017 .

My husband filed for extension . I said that and they were ok . How ever I volunteered giving them W2 for 2017 .

I864 they didn't ask but I carried it any way with me . Many interviewess were asked before so .

So guys I just called nvc there was a nice guy name alice,i told him uscis receipt number and he told me that there is still not this number in their system.

I just want to make sure that nvc received it yet!
I told him our case was approved on 7 apriL and  the status change (sent to nvc on 19 apriL.)

So already near 3 weeks passed from the approval.
He told me to wait 6 weeks!!!
Is this normal for them to say this to everyone to wait for 6 weeks?
As i have heard that nvc receive case in 2 to 3 weeks!

Hi, It has been a while, people.

So my wife had her interview last Wednesday and they approved her (Thank God), and since Friday CEAC is showing "issued". I don't know why they haven't mailed the passport back yet, does anyone know how it works, and how long it will take for my wife to receive her passport? Could they have already mailed, but the status is not showing on ais.usvisa-info (it still shows appointment status there)?

Please note that my wife lives in the middle of Paris, about 20 minutes away from the consulate by train, when she told them that she would rather pick it up, they refused, and they said we only do deliveries. Freaking sucks!!! We are hoping that she receives her passport by Wednesday because tickets are super cheap for Thursday from Paris.

Hello @Bos congratulations to you and thank God for journey mercies.

Quick question on the passport pickup registration..

i already have a profile as i previously applied for a US visa few years ago, is there anything specific i need to do again or my updated profile is fair enough? There is no option where i can see my already scheduled interview... Any help??
