After waiting 6 months than this 6 weeks wait for just damn sending is really frustating wait and than 8 weeks for case number.

Should i call uscis or nvc now?

and can i call them from out of u.s

their contact?

thanks

I’m sorry. It really is frustrating. They took 6.5 months to approve my case and 5 weeks to send the approved file to NVC. You can call USCIS +1-800-375-5283. Sometimes they’ll tell you the date it was sent and other times they cannot provide any useful information and will just ask you to wait. NVC can’t do anything until they have the file and even then as you know they’ve been taking a long time assigning case numbers. You can call them from anywhere but international calling rates are probably higher.

We just have to wait it out. It is long and tough journey but we can get through it!

Had interview last Thursday April 12 at Lagos consulate Nigeria. The interview lasted for about two minutes. The consulate only asked what is my name and what my spouse do for living and he said welcome to American. He handed me two white papers one with instructions on how to create a profile online for passport pick up and the other with instructions on how to pay for green card which is $220. The online status changed to administrative processing right after the interview and on Friday it changed to issued. Now just waiting to pick up passport hopefully tomorrow. The w2s that NVC specifically  ask to be taken to interview because it was not submitted to NVC, the consulate didn't even asked for it neither did he even asked for any wedding pictures. He seems he already made his decision even before he started the interview.

Wow congratulations 🎊🎉🍾... did you go with 2017 tax transcripts?

No only went with  2016 tax return that was  previously submitted to NVC but the consulate didn't even ask for it. I also got an email few hours ago that my passport is ready for pick up so will be picking it up tomorrow morning.

This is for Mumbai

Updated our timeline

I can see the light at the end of this tunnel!!

Does anyone know where I can find how long it takes to typically receive visa after interview in Mumbai?

I (petitioner) will try to travel accordingly

Thanks in advance and best of luck to all

what is the online status says in your case? We got the interview letter on 4/3 for interview date 5/25. For us online status still says "At NVC".
