My husband has his interview in a week in the Dominican Republic. I will go there to be with him during the interview. We are excited and nervous all at once.

Any pointers on how "dressy" we should be? Is it best to let him answer all the questions or should I? So many questions running through my mind as the date approaches.

God bless you and here is praying your interview goes well. I read or saw a video (can't remember which), that its best to dress like you are going to an interview. Dress up, but dont be overly dressy. Have a hair cut, nice slacks, dress shirt and maybe a blazer. Also, I am not sure about your embassy/consulate, but for CDJ, only the person being interviewed is allowed.

Hope this helps a bit! :)

Thank you so much! It helps a lot! Based on everything I have read about the US Embassy in Santo Domingo, it is highly encouraged that the petitioner/spouse be present at the interview. It's weird that the rules or expectations are different from one US Embassy in one country to the next in another country.

Am not sure about that...they were like all forms scanned copies will be enough....i guess the other documents also scanned copy will be enough....my husband had scanned all the financial documents and send to me...

Somebody who already attended the interview should advise us about this.....

Ok that is great. I would love to be in the interview with my husband. In that case, I would say, only speak if the officer asks you a specific question. Its best to give straight forth, succinct answers, dont eloborate unless they ask you/him to. Just answer the question. You got this!! :)

Thanks so much for your encouragement @Faithunlimited. This journey has been long and hard (as we all know). I am just ready to hear the magic words "Your visa is approved". By the grace of God we will all be with our loved ones for good very soon!

I don't know what my scan date was but my case complete email was sent on 03/05/2018.

Hopefully I get my interview scheduled soon, I am so anxious.

Do you mean April 05? 04/05/2018?

You should hear something from them if you got the CC email by 03/05/2018

Not bad however it seems like embassy is scheduling interviews 40 to 50 days after CC

Did you check any date available before 21 May or you just took it?

I just took it. I was happy to even get a date in May, as I had earlier thought the scheduling was done and that our interview would not be scheduled till early June.
