Yes better to change the surname and add your spouse name to it. As long as you have it change in the Indian passport before your interview. Do you have police clearance certificate done ?

Yup I got PCC on same day

It was an easy process for me as I have only one address in India

How about you? have you submitted docs?

That’s cheaper tho. But the children’s place is 100k. If that of Alakija is 70k then that’s cheap. And I guess it’s same 2 weeks to get the result.

Just got medical result back almost two weeks ago  from Dr Alakija's office. The cost is 78125 naira and waiting period is two weeks and is also the cheapest.

Hey Guys, I wanna ask those of us in Lagos embassy about medical requirements, do have have to take my immunization record with me to medical? Thanks for any answer

Yes but they probably won't look at it. They will still carry out all the required test and immunization on you.

I don't have my immunization record anymore, hope I won't have issues during my medical @ Lagos.

you won't have issues as they do few test on you and give you vaccination shots atlas first shot and if any 2nd shot needed you can get that in US

check this website for medical info https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/laws-regs/vaccination-immigration/revised-vaccination-immigration-faq.html

Hello, please I need an advice. My interview is coming up in few weeks and i have a minor child of 4months and of course I’ll have to take her along with me. We applied for her U.S Passport in late January at the Abuja Nig consulate for birth abroad since her Dad Is a citizen, it was suppose to take 3weeks but they requested for a document that wasn’t submitted and we did. But since then her passport hasn’t been ready, the last time we contacted the consulate, we were told it was under review. I don’t know how long it will take and I’m worried because i wouldn’t want it to affect my immigration status. I don’t know when I’ll be called to pick up her passport and it might not be out before my interview but all fingers crossed.

I was told not to bother but I still need advice coz I’m actually worried.

Congratulations to everyone getting approved!! We are all so close!!!! What does the CEAC status mean when it says, "Ready"?  Is it already at the embassy?

Yes, it is already at the embassy in your country :)
