Has anyone gotten a police certificate, antecedentes penales, from Morelia, Michoacan Mexico? I'm wondering how long they give it for (30 days, 60 days etc.) 🤔

My wife got her's in Morelia. It is generally accepted in Morelia for 90 days, but there is no expiration date listed on the document. Regardless, the US Consulate will accept it for up to a year. Just make sure it was issued less than a year before your interview date and you will be fine.

March 30th

As I've been reading it seems like it takes about 10days on average to get appointment and 30 - 45 days after that interview which is long waiting and frustrating because they've closed Delhi centre for certain interviews only Mumbai.

Only few cases I've seen getting interview date in 2 to 5 days

It is possible if someone reschedules at last minute and its taken by someone not sure but yeah 50 days from CC on average

Hello everyone.  Yesterday my husband had his interview in Dominican Republic and his Visa was approve!!!! Thank God!

Everything was very easy.. the only thing was the waiting once inside the consulate.  We waited 3 hours to finally have the interview.  I noticed they gave priority to those with petitions with kids in them so yeah.

They asked my husband where he works, how long we have been in a relationship, and how long we have been married.

They asked me where I work and that was really it.. they didn't ask for pictures of us or anything.  We did give them our child's birth certificate so maybe that worked as proof of our relationship and they didn't bother with anything else.

Seriously guys I think we were in front of the officer like 2 mins maybe 3.  lol. Crazy soooo many months of stress and worry all boiled down to 2 mins of our lives.

We are very very thankful with God and I am wishing you guys have great interviews too! God bless!

Oh and all we gave them was Birth certificates, my husbands, mine and our daughters.  Marriage certificate and police paper and interview letter.  They didn't even take our 2x2 fotos or the ds260 conf page.  I think they already had fotos we submited and the guy said the ds260 is just in case but he saw it in the system. So yeah.  :D!.

Thank you everyone and this thread and the person in charge of the thread also.  This has really helped us with knowing others were always going through something similar and that we weren't alone in this.  Thanks for the support and honestly I pray everyone gets through and finally finish this hard and long process!

Congratulations!! What a relief your journey is over! And i'm so glad to hear the interview process was so simple, we have ours in the DR next month and I was wondering what to expect. Do you know if the spouse is required to attend? I noticed on our letter, it only said my husband (who is the one from the DR) is required so i assumed maybe it was optional for me to attend?  Thanks again for the information!

It is optional for the person petitioning to go.  I went because I live here with my husband waiting for his paperwork to come through butttt.... I did notice everyone was there with their husband or wife.  All the couples that were together left so happy hugging and kissing.  The only people that looked like they didnt have good news were a few people who were alone.  But there were also people with petions from parents so idk if they were necesesarily petioned by a husband or wife.

When my husband walked up to the window (because there are 10 windows for interviews, the interview is not in an office it's right there in front of everyone).. I was getting up from my chair with my baby... and the officer asked my husband "where is your wife?"  And that's exactly when I walked up to the window and I said "I'm sorry I was getting the baby" and he was like "ohhhh ok."

So I guess it's not mandatory but they definitely do look at that
