I''m pretty sure there is some information about this, however, i tried to browse through tons of topics and just couldn't find it.

is there a cheaper way to transfer money to my fiance to the US than sending it via paypal? i find the fee a bit high and would really appreciate some feedback with good experience of you guys.

thanks in advance

We always used a bank wire from my wife's bank in Taiwan to my local bank here in the US.  I think the flat fee was about $27.00 total.

The intermediate bank was BOA.

There are a few less expensive solutions if you are willing to allow 3 to 7 days for the transfer to complete versus immediate setttlement

thanks for that tip - i think that would be the easiest, only the bank i have won't allow transfers to the US due to the "issue" with us/swiss banks in the past years (rollingeyes)
