Losing my X-ray CD

The CPB officer didn't keep my wife's X-rays.  However, if you want it replaced, contact the medical facility which did your medical exam.

Senior Master Sergeant, US Air Force- Retired (after 20+ years)- Missile Systems Maintenance & Titan 2 ICBM Launch Crew Duty (200+ Alert tours)

Registered Nurse- Retired- I practiced in the areas of Labor & Delivery, Home Health, Adolescent Psych, & Adult Psych.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Why not just return to where you had the x-ray and ask for another copy?

Don’t sweat it. They tell you to keep it on you but no one from CBP  needs it. When we offered it to our POE officer he said “keep it in case your new doctor wants it”. Heard similar reports countless times.

Anything that the CBP officer needs to admit you to the USA is INSIDE the sealed packet.  XRay CD is for your personal medical records ONLY.  There is no Doctor at the POE who will read the CD, this was already done by the physician at the medical exam and any required notes are included on the medical report.  Don't worry about it unless you want it for your own records.

They DO NOT want the CD. How would CBP be able to check the content when they need a special program to watch it? No one, has ever been asked for the CD. All they need is the medical paper form.

As I said, the officer didn't want my wife's CD....i wouldn't worry about it.

Don't waste your money. You won't need the CD.

The CD is for your own records. My now-wife's CD even explicitly says not to turn it into CBP right on the label.

 

Years ago they required you to bring a copy of the actual X-ray, which could be reviewed (not by the officer, obviously...they just accepted it).

I swear we entered a week ago and the CO never asked for the CD.  We offered it to him and he said "that's your business".

Ditto secondary.  They processed my wife through and never touched the CD.  We still have it LOL.

CAme across mine last year and binned it, nobody has ever been asked for it.

twice i entered the USA with my X-ray, i was never asked both time to show the X-rays. 

Maybe the 2 officers processing me did not see any reasons to take a look at it (and even so, I am not sure if they are medically trained to spot anything amiss when looking at the x-ray).
