Seems like Sacramento office is back to work... when did they give you your interview date?

EAD/AP renewal received by USCIS and NOA 1 mailed July 07,2015

I-485: Case updated, Welcome Notice was mailed  (07/09/15) Took 6 months and 27 days from the date of NPIW and after 10 months and 2 days of NOA 1

Welcome Notice hard copy received in mail, GC should arrive in 3 weeks (07/13/15)<p>

I went green and received my Green Card on (07/29/15)

It's 11/15, no news or movement for folks applied in NY region. I've been following the NY filers thread closely, and it seems they are still backed up reporting Dec 17 filers still pending for interview.. 

I really hope my application doesn't go beyond 12 months.. We have plans to travel next Spring, and this looming thought of flying back just from your vaca for an interview is just frustrating.

Patents interviews were not the same, they are a day apart. But i got a notification on text nov 14th. both new and old website were also updated. Interview letter was uploaded nov 15th.

All April File, 

 

After a 6-month wait, i finally had my N400 interview today at the DC field office in Fairfax, VA. My interview was scheduled at 11:40 am and my husband and I arrived around 11:20 am. We waited for about 10 minutes and my name was called. I asked the officer if I should get my husband,  he said no need and took me to his office.  

 

On to the interview, he seemed not to bother with my GC and DL, I took them out from my backpack and placed them on the desk but he didn't not even take a peek of them. He requested to take picture of me and went directly into the reading test, writing and civil test. 

 

Reading: Who is George Washington

Writing: Washington is the first President

Civil: We elect a US Representative for how many years? 2 years

          In what month do we vote for President? November

          The house of Representative has how many voting members? 435

          Who is the Chief Justice of the US now? John Roberts

          Name one war fought by the US in the 1900s? WWI

          Sorry forgot the last one. Some are difficult questions if you don't study the booklet. 

 

He did a lot of typing when I was answering these questions. He also asked if I ever got arrested or deported by the US government, didn't ask me anything about the traffic citation.  After that he asked me to give my signature on the screen. It almost seemed like the interview was over. I paused him and asked if I could still do a name change (I said no on the form). He said great, we can do it today, right now. I asked if it will delay the oath ceremony as I saw it online that the name change to delay the process by 3-4 months. He laughed out loud (not kidding, he really laughed loudly) and said don't trust the internet. I then asked when i could expect my Oath Ceremony and he answered about 2 months.           Name one war fought by the US in the 1900s? WWI

          Sorry forgot the last one. Some are difficult questions if you don't study the booklet. 

 

He did a lot of typing when I was answering these questions. He also asked if I ever got arrested or deported by the US government, didn't ask me anything about the traffic citation.  After that he asked me to give my signature on the screen. It almost seemed like the interview was over. I paused him and asked if I could still do a name change (I said no on the form). He said great, we can do it today, right now. I asked if it will delay the oath ceremony as I saw it online that the name change to delay the process by 3-4 months. He laughed out loud (not kidding, he really laughed loudly) and said don't trust the internet. I then asked when i could expect my Oath Ceremony and he answered about 2 months. Congrats!! I’m nervous for my upcoming interview. I hope I can answer everything without any trouble.

just want to ask if they asked for your tax return papers?
