I just got a notification today saying my interview date has been scheduled! :)

I should be able to find out the date once I get it in the mail.

I've been waiting since 4/23/18 (Biometrics date)

Congrats to everyone who is approved.

 

 For me, my case is still estimated to be complete in May of 19'. Going to have the second biggest celebration of my life (after my wedding) once this is over lol.

 

 Are many other April 18' filers estimated to be complete around May of 19' too?

Hi Everyone!

My interview date has been updated online and it's going to be on 11/21. However, I changed my address few months ago (I just moved few blocks from my neighborhood) but the letter has my old address on there and it's been mailed to my old address as well. I'm not too concerned about the mail as I have changed it with usps and it will be forward to my current address. But will USCIS make a big deal about the old address being on the interview letter they sent to me? Would they resend me the letter with my current address..? I just hope they dont delay my interview because of this. :(

hello every one guys I have 2 questions .1 is I m from Pakistan is any one from Pakistan ?should I submit nadra marriage certificate or true copy nikahnama?and second is I don't know where is Isis account no ?I m applying oniline and I have uscis account.

Hi everyone! I have been observing this thread from the beginning but somehow I did not register until today. I want to say thank you for all who participated in this thread and I would like to share my story to contribute to this thread as well.

 

I became an US citizen 3 days ago and my case took 5 month and 19 days.

 

Mine was an I751 and N400 combo application. I applied online so I received my NOA immediately. Then I had a finger print appointment on 05/07/2018. Since my online application indicated that my case would take until 2019 March, I thought my case would take a while to complete. However, about 3 month after the finger print appointment, I received a letter for my interview scheduled on 10/03/2018.

 

However, I did not receive an interview letter for I751, and the N400 interview letter did not ask me to bring my spouse. I was a bit concerned but I told my wife to show up with me at the interview day anyway to be ready for the I751 interview.

 

Time passed... and I was sitting with my wife in the USCIS office in Portland, OR on 10/03/2018. The interview schedule was set in the morning at 7:45am so the waiting did not take a long time, may be 25 minute after we checked in.

 

An USCIS officer called my name and greeted me for the interview that I waited for a long time... I told him that my case was an I751/N400 combo case so I brought my wife for interview as well. He told me that there was no need for my spouse to join the interview and it would be done quickly after asking couple questions. I was like 'WHAT?!' but I knew that my case would go smoothly as the officer indicated.

 

The interview began with my oath in front of the officer. He confirmed my information as he was following my application. Then we went to the reading and writing tests, super easy. I got nervous during the US history test, but I was able to answer all of the questions correctly, passed.

 

Then the office asked me if I wanted to have the oath ceremony at the same day at 1pm. Of course I accepted it. Then the officer gave me a red form for the oath ceremony. I remember getting those red forms when an immigration officer sent me to a secondary room at the airport. Anyone else had that experience? Mine was to correct errors in my profile and luckily I was able to get out of there in 15 minute. Anyway, the entire interview took 25-ish minute only.

 

My wife was going take her day off but she was still able to go to work before 9 am so that she didn't have to use her PTO. I went back home and took a nap and went back to the USCIS office at 1pm. My wife clocked out for lunch from her work to join my oath ceremony to celebrate my ceremony. Good for her! She works in downtown Portland. She went back to her work after the ceremony.

 

Oath ceremony was emotional and memorable, and I will never forget such a crystal clear sky when I left from the USCIS building after the ceremony. It was a beautiful fall weather.

 

For those who still has pending I751, you will have a high chance of USCIS to skip it and do your N400 only.

Congrats on your interview notice. Seems like there is some hope for San Antonio office.
