My husband had his interview on Friday, July 13th. He was called in for the interview about 30 minutes after he was scheduled and his interview took about 40 minutes. One of the questions that the IO asked was the birthdates of our children. He went over his work history and were we live. My husband applied based on marriage even though he has had his green card for 6 1/2 years (he was out of the US for 7 months at one point in the last 5 years so we thought it would be easier if we don't need to prove that he maintained his residence during that time). The IO said that he needed residence and work info for the last 5 years and he would mail a paper out that we would then need to fill out and send back in before they could make a decision on his case. On Monday, July 16, I checked on his case here https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/  and it showed that he had been placed inline for his oath ceremony. Tuesday morning, we received the notification to check his online account and it had updated there that he was approved. On Thursday, July 19, when I checked his case status it showed that he was scheduled for his oath ceremony. This morning, we received a notification for his online account at 6:15 a.m. and by 9:00 a.m. his oath ceremony notice was already loaded in the account. We are excited to be almost finished with our visa journey! Also, it seems that USCIS is updating the estimated time for the field offices. When we submitted our application, Indy was showing 5-15 months and it is now showing 4-15 months, which is right inline with the amount of time that our case is taking.

This morning, we received a notification for his online account at 6:15 a.m. and by 9:00 a.m. his oath ceremony notice was already loaded in the account. We are excited to be almost finished with our visa journey! Also, it seems that USCIS is updating the estimated time for the field offices. When we submitted our application, Indy was showing 5-15 months and it is now showing 4-15 months, which is right inline with the amount of time that our case is taking.

Congratulations! On the oath letter, where in Indy will the ceremony take place for him?

At the same place as the interview. Is that where your oath ceremony will be as well?

My oath ceremony is not going to be at the same place where the interview was conducted. It is going to be at Indy Marion County Public Central Library.

My oath date was rescheduled for September 11th, which works great for me - I was due to go on vacation the day after the original date and that would have left me no time to get a new passport!

Hello everyone,

I got my biometrics done in May 22nd. Since then,  my case status was “Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS”.

Today I got a notification about a case update and it’s now saying “At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case. Please contact the USCIS Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283 for additional information.” I logged into my account but nothing is showing. I also called the number and the machine says my latest update is that my case is being actively reviewed. Has this happened to anyone?

You are the 3rd person from this site I’ve seen post about this this morning, so likely it’s just an issue with their system. 

 

Right after writing this, I saw 4 more posts from people about this so yes it’s just a glitch or they’re updating their system.
