Hello. I had interviewe on January 8th. I passed testes and I got the paper where I was recon for the approval. I was told I would receive letter within next 2 weeks. And nothing. My USCIS account still stands I attended interview.  No later. How long do we have to wait in Philadelphia for the oath ceremony?

Had my combo interview (ROC + N400) yesterday around 9:30am in San Jose, CA. In the end, I got a letter saying that they couldn’t make a decision because of my ROC, that they would have to take car with of that first.

 

On my way back home from the interview, around 3pm I got an update saying that I was in line for oath ceremony.

 

Around 9pm I got another update saying “Card in production” for the ROC

 

8am today I got another update saying that they scheduled my interview. Now I’m just waiting for the interview letter to pop up online. 

 

All that happened in less than 24h which is awesome! Super excited here, haha!

How long after they change the status to “In line for oath ceremony” we receive the letter with the date ? 

Uscis changed my status yesterday but so far there is no document uploaded in the system. Also I didn’t receive anything in the mail.

  You mean, from "In Line For Oath Ceremony" to "Oath Ceremony Notice Was Mailed"?  If you are in line for oath ceremony they first need to schedule your ceremony and then they will send you a notice with date, place and time but only then. I did not get any document (online) regarding the "In Line For Oath Ceremony" only for the "Oath Ceremony Notice Was Mailed". It took them 17h to move me from "In line" to "Oath Ceremony Notice Was Mailed" but because I got the last update today, the letter hasn't showed up online yet.

  I believe that the time frame depends on the local offices so it varies. It took me only 17h but I've heard of people waiting like 10-15 days or more, but like I said, it really depends.

  Mine said something like "you showed up for your interview" then "case was approved" then "in line for oath ceremony" and then "oath ceremony notice was mailed" but all these 4 stages took 17h.

  The ROC changed from something regarding the interview to "New Card Is Being Produced".

  We are almost there!!

Hey guys, I took the oath ceremony on January 17 and I had the Naturalization certificate already, but today my case changed to" On January 26, 2019, we issued your Certificate of Naturalization for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization". Do you guys have the same thing? Thank you so much.

I got the same notification the day after my ceremony. Yours just took a bit longer to update it seems.

About 3 days. 

 

 

I think I’m done with all the post-oath paperwork. I did not find too much info on that so here’s what I did:

 

day 1 - do the oath, get the certificate, register to vote after the ceremony (free)

day 2 - report status change to employer with a new I9 form (free)

day 3 - report status change to DMV, got a new DL ordered ($11)

day 4 - report status change to SSA, they started then stopped new card production since my card is in good shape and had no conditions on it (IR1) (free)

day 5 - apply for US passport, I left this as a last step since they take your original certificate and mail in back in a couple of weeks ($110 for passport book, $35 in fees, optional cost another $30 for passport card)

 

I saw conflicting info on if DMV was needed or not but my DMV said it should be done so when my number is looked up it doesn’t say “LPR” so I updated it. This way when a renewal comes I’ll be able to do it online, too.
