Dec 10th interview

Dec 28th I got a txt telling me my case status changed. My online profile shows nothing, but if I look up my case number under check case status, I see my oath ceremony notice was mailed. :)

In hindsight this appears is key. An interview reschedule has to be requested. by the time i came out of the office I got a text message saying your interview (original one) was canceled. and then thank God yesterday I got an text saying I have been scheduled and this morning the letter was uploaded - its on Feb 4th. So hopefully smooth sailing from now on. So from what the lady told me rescheduling request is the key as it gets you back in the line. You do not get into the line till such a request is made. So if for any reason your interview has to be rescheduled make sure you get an info pass to take care of it and make sure you get a notification that your original interview was canceled.

How were you able to schedule an INFOPASS? They stopped doing that online, correct?

I had my interview a month ago and got the "a decision cannot yet be made about your application." The interview went well and I thought I was going to be approved on the spot since my case was simple. The officer said I should receive a response in 3 to 4 weeks. It's been a month and the status online still says "interview was scheduled." I read somewhere that USCIS has 120 days to make a decision. I'm really disappointed that I'm going to have to wait this much longer after waiting several months for an interview.

 

Has anybody here had the same problem?

I am in the almost same situation except I was recommend for approval but online status like yours

Just to give everyone an update,

Filed online in April of 2018, interview on August 2018. Unfortunately I live in Putnam County so Oath was not until December 2018. However, I'm happy to say I'm finally a US Citizen. 


My parents filed in April 2018 as well. They were interviewed this December in Newark, NJ and got to do same day oath. So our family got great Christmas gifts!

I went to my interview yesterday in Denver, CO. Everything went smoother than i expected .I was approved on the spot! Like many on here, the minute i walked out the building i received a text notifying me that "My case status was updated." I received another text this morning stating that "We have taken action on your case".  Will update the tracker once i get my "Oath Ceremony" letter.

I had my interview in Orlando on the 3rd. Everything went well, the officer who seemed a little rough at the beginning, lightened up once we got to his office and overall the experience great. I wasn’t asked for any documents except for the green card and passport. It lasted roughly 30-40 minutes. Can’t remember the questions asked but if you read the booklet a couple of times you will be fine. 

Right after the interview I was asked if I can attend the naturalization ceremony on the 10th of January, I said yes and I was asked to sit back down in the waiting room. A couple of minutes later the lady called my name and gave me an invitation to the ceremony and explained how and when to fill it out. That’s it. Don’t be nervous, people. Everything is going to be great.
