Sadly that has been everyone's experience with NVC lately. We thought USCIS took forever and NVC would be faster. Were we wrong and how.

My NOA2 was 12/21 but the file didn't get sent to NVC till 1/26 (5 weeks after approval) and they received it on 2/1. The first day I called, they told me to wait 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, they told me it's just taking longer and no one could give me a time frame. 2 weeks later, they told me it's now taking up to 8 weeks from receive date to get a case number. Yesterday was 8 weeks since they received my case, I called them today and the rep just tells me that it's just taking them really long and 8 weeks is not even enough. So basically there is no time frame - it is just a very long, frustrating, tiring, and depressing process.

Yes..It Is so frustrating. Do you know anything about the electronic cases after being given the case number at NVC? What about the famous eleven weeks after paying all the fees and sending all the documents?

From what I have seen lately, it is much faster after a case number is received. So that is a little bit of light at the end of this dark dark tunnel. Most people were able to pay fees and submit all documents within a week of receiving a case number and had a case complete from NVC in 2-3 weeks.

You're welcome. It is a very long and frustrating process. We just have to be patient and it will work out hopefully sooner rather later.

Please Someone who Is facing this " NEW ELECTRONIC SYSTEM" that NVC Is using with some cases. I still don't have a case number which Is taking forever. I read about some people which faced and are facing this SYSTEM. Please share your experiences...I would like to learn more. According to what I read and I was told, it doesn't take so much time after being given a case number but I just need to know that all this waiting time has not also a very long ending. Thanks
