I seem to remember that it more common there. It seems odd that the NVC would send the Op's case back.....

Until the reason for the return is revealed it is all speculation

YMMV

Im confused why NVC sent back our papers to USCIS, we don't get a case number anyway.

I think they saw something odd, so they sent it back to USCIS to address the anomaly...  They really don't give you any idea of the reason at this point.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

You are not going to get a MNL# until NVC is ready to send it to the Embassy.  The petition is back in the hands of the USCIS and they are the ones who will hopefully provide you an answr

YMMV

I'm visiting my future asawa in two weeks for our interview and her birthday.  Just stay positive.  I will keep you in my prayers.  You will have difficult questions to answer but if your relationship is real no man can keep you two apart.  It is not our job to judge or understand.  I wish you both the very best and I pray that this all works out for you.

Significantly larger than a 32 year gap?  Please provide a link to these cases.........32 year difference WILL receive a lot of unwanted attention, especially at the consulate level.  That red flag alone would difficult to overcome without a LOT of time spent together imo.

Don't need to provide a link because I know of someone personally and that's because she is the oldest which gets scrutinize the most, but in this case it's a man and there is hardly any scrutiny...Time spent together most definitely would cause some issues, but I don't think I mentioned anything in regards to that in my post...Not here to challenge anyone on what I said...We both have a difference of opinion on the age matter so I rather keep it moving...I know of someone personally as I mentioned already and they got approved...Have an awesome Saturday!!

Letter of affirmation as a Philippines Citizen?  I've never heard anyone getting those through the K-1 process.

It says USCIS reaffirmed there decision for our petition and send it back to Department of State for action, I think there's something missing in our papers when they sent it to Department State that's why Department of State sent it back to USCIS and now USCIS sent it back again to Department of State.

They confirmed that it was approved and sent it back to NVC. Everything is in normal order again.

The EXACT same thing happened to me. It literally had to come down to incompetence. They sent it back and then finally said it was approved even though it had been approved. As a matter of fact feb16 I opened an inquiry due to lack of response and the USCIS simply had them return it to formally update then it went back and then they gave me my official NAO2 on April 5th... literally wasted 2 months. Now it’s back at NVC and they are expediting it... I just got word yesterday.

We too already had had our NVC case number back then. So annoying.

Good luck

For our case we don't get a NVC case number back then, NVC just return it to USCIS. Hoping to hear from NVC soon.
