NVC processing times

Once NVC receives your case and gives you a number how long does it usually take before they send it on to your embassy?

For an I-129F/K-1 case, NVC only does very little processing and then ships it out. Typically this is a matter of days to couple weeks. There's a handful of cases that have taken longer, but the vast majority fall into the first bucket.

Thank you.  We just got our number March 26.  I guess I’m just getting antsy at this stage, but like everybody else here this cannot go quick enough no matter how soon it is.

Ours was at NVC for a total of 7 days before we were "READY".  It took 13 days from USCIS to NVC.  So we were "READY" just 20 days after NOA2.
