Attorney General Jeff Sessions rejected calls from Republican lawmakers for a second special counsel to look into potential misconduct by the Justice Department and the FBI in past investigations of Hillary Clinton, saying that the issues were already under scrutiny.

In a letter to three Republican committee chairmen, Sessions disclosed Thursday that he has assigned John Huber, a U.S. attorney based in Utah, to conduct an internal probe into complaints of FBI bias and wrongdoing.

“I am confident that Mr. Huber’s review will include a full, complete and objective evaluation of these matters in a manner that is consistent with the law and facts,” Sessions wrote to Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley, House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte, and House Oversight Chairman Trey Gowdy.

Sessions said he would consider the recommendations Huber may might, including “whether any matters merit the appointment of a special counsel” later.

In other words he didn't reject calls for a special counsel. He simply said it will be considered at a later date when more facts have been gathered. Nice misleading title from that article there. Sadly this is what the corporate media is resorting to to mislead people. They know a large percentage of their readers literally only read the title of an article and of those who read further many only read the first few paragraphs.

I can sum this article up in a couple sentences:

"In a letter to three Republican committee chairmen, Sessions stated he didn't feel now is the time to appoint a special counsel to investigate the Clintons. Instead he has assigned John Huber, a U.S. attorney based in Utah, to conduct an internal probe into complaints of FBI bias and wrongdoing and will determine at a later date whether or not a special counsel is warranted based on additional facts."

That is all the article needs to say. The rest is sensational misleading fluff.

Conservative are boiling with anger at Attorney General Jeff Sessions for declining to appoint a second special counsel to investigate alleged abuses at the FBI and Department of Justice (DOJ).

In a Thursday letter to senior GOP lawmakers in the House and Senate, Sessions explained that he had appointed John Huber, a U.S. attorney from Utah who was first appointed by former President Obama, to work with DOJ’s inspector general to determine whether a second special counsel is necessary

Which conservatives are "fuming"? Was a poll conducted? I think Sessions is doing the right thing. Appointing an investigator who will give him the evidence he needs to justify a special counsel at a later date. Unlike Mueller who was appointed with no evidence whatsoever of wrongdoing.

There were no guilty pleas or any basis whatsoever for appointing Mueller at the beginning. Also Mueller wasn't appointed to spend millions of dollars to lay out a dragnet to find minor process crimes. He was appointed to find Russian collusion which he has not done and never will do because it doesn't exist. Sessions on the other hand is proceeding cautiously and looking for justification before appointing a special counsel.

Minor process crimes like Conspiracy to defraud the United States, Identity Theft, Bank Fraud and conspiracy to commit bank fraud,  conspiracy against the United States, conspiracy to launder money, unregistered agent of a foreign principal, false and misleading FARA statements, and false statements?
