This is a highly disastrous change. And I’m not even talking about the immigrants themselves. Yes, the immigrants who have disabilities and those who have conditions that predispose them to having low income... are being targeted here.

But, it’s their immigrant or US citizen children that will suffer from this the most. These policies are bound to raise 2nd generation immigrant children who grew up in poverty, who are undernourished, who have experienced homelessness, and who will likely experience childhood injury or violence.

Decreased participation in Medicaid/CHIP would increase the uninsured rate among immigrant families, negatively affecting their health and financial stability. Coverage losses would reduce access to care for families, contributing to worse health outcomes. Reduced participation in nutrition and other programs would likely compound these effects. Overall, reduced participation in Medicaid and other programs would negatively affect their health and financial stability and the growth and healthy development of their children, who are predominantly U.S.-born.”

“The fact that we are here and that I speak these words is an attempt to break that silence and bridge some
of those differences between us, for it is not difference which immobilizes us, but silence.
And there are so many silences to be broken.”

It's 2019 and now the Trump administration has changed the rules.

I foresee many delays and much confusion as USCIS steps up Trump's Inquisition on foreign born people.

I agree, even after the massive thread we had and a couple days for us/the media to decipher what it explains, we are still unsure of who will have to show the 250%.
