My wife will be traveling to the Philippines  and using extension letter with her expired green card. the extension letter is good till the 9th of June as that is the expiration of her Green card.  She will be coming back may 30th. Today my wife told me that she was told that you can't travel on extension letter 90 days before the expiration of the letter. I have never heard of that and she want me to call USCIS but they are busy as always

I told my wife that she will be back about a week before the extension letter expires and that should be good

will like to hear from anybody that had travel with their extension letter close to expiration and if you encounter any problems

This happens a lot in the Philippines it's always "I was told this happened to my friend's sister's husband" or something like that. The only bad thing is that a majority of the time if another Filipino said it then negates anything a non-filipino said. This is very common in the Philippines which sucks.
