Moscow Embassy medical exam results

Hi all,

 

My fiancee just completed her medical interview, and they are telling her to take her results in a sealed envelope to her visa interview. I was under the impression that the results would be forwarded by the clinic prior to the interview for review by the embassy.

 

Has anyone else had any experience with this process recently?

It strictly depends upon the policy of the consulate and the medical facility. Many, many consulates require the fiance to pick up the medical report prior to the interview.  In Taiwan, that exactly what happens.

Yes I have had similar experience.Note that they longer send it over to the embassy directly instead they ask you to carry the sealed envelope to the interview. When I went to the clinic for my results and was handed over the same I out of curiosity asked if the med report is fine to which they answered "If the report had not been fine,we would be contacting the embassy directly ..as long as you are being provided the report that means the report is fine".A high sigh of relief

The medical report is as good as any other document that you are required  to produce at  the time of interview.So no wrongs around it

Back when we did it, we had to pick up the results ourselves (I was with my fiancé for the interview), but I had heard that the clinic was now forwarding the results.  I guess it may have changed again, or may have something to do with the clinic.

A year ago, in March 2017, when we had our K1/K2 interviews, the results of our medical exams were sent directly to the consulate within 3 days after the completion the exam.

My information may be outdated as I've done it back in 2012 but back then I had to puck up envelope myself and bring it to the interview with other papers. There is not much to study for not medical professional so results had been briefly reviewed by the CO right before interview along with other papers I submitted.

That is what Katya did back in 2014.  In her case she took a plane (train to Moscow from Krasnoyarsk is 2-3 days), arrived on a Wednesday morning for her medical, then picked me up from SVO and headed to a rented flat near the US Consulate, we then walked to the clinic on Thursday after 12 noon and got her sealed envelope.  Her interview was on Friday morning, then we both left on Saturday.

I've been thinking we'll probably do something along those lines. Thanks for letting me know it's not unreasonable.
