again, that's a burden you're putting on yourself. why would i want to see your va paperwork?

i think it's silly to get so worked up over something that has nothing to do with you. i'm not going to argue with you concerning the symptoms of ptsd/tbi. the fact that you think folks with these disorders use them as a 'crutch' kinda makes me think you don't know much about your own diagnosis. but see, that's making this all personal about you - which was never my intention. again, i'm sorry you think that any veteran that commits a crime is somehow making you look bad but, that's all on you. you don't have to take everything so personally.

You don’t understand, and never will understand.  Because according to your own words, you would never serve your country.  You do not have in you the same things that (the majority of vets do) when they serve, nor the pride that comes with such.  Therefore, you cannot fathom what it means to those who serve honorably and do no wrong when someone fails the system.  As was mentioned a few posts above, the crime now becomes US VETS against the legal system, not some random dude from West By God Virginia.

As to the whole PTSD thing... what cyber is trying to tell you is that there exist a group of vets out there that use the diagnosis just to make money.  Most vets have PTSD at some level.  Whether or not that level affects their life is pretty much a self-determination.  And consequently, if a vet “plays the game” and says the right things during psychological eval at the end of their service, they can easily get more money for it than they might actually be due.  This is by NO MEANS saying all vets lie about it, or are trying to scam the system.  But some do.  I have seen it first hand.

I try not to judge, because no one of us truly knows what another if experiencing inside.  War affects all of us differently, and it is pretty much for the rest of our lives.

Pretty sure I said it above, but I think the reference to this guy’s TBI was “he may have had a TBI”.  That’s not a medical diagnosis, that is an attempt to pull heart strings.  Something a lawyer would do to win a case, perhaps.

still no reason to deport him or anyone else that serves this country. like i said, i would never sacrifice as much and i'm a citizen no matter what. seems less than honorable to deport a veteran.

I was in the Combined Cadet Force.

Do I get a pass as well.

Not currently, just wondering.

there is a block function, i suggest you use it if you have a problem with my opinions.

You refuse to serve your country, you refuse to listen to those who have and have personal experience with it.  But I still support your right to have an opinion on the matter, even if it’s counter to mine.  No need to block nor report.  It’s all just discourse.
