Hey,

I entered the USA with a cr1 visa a couple of days ago and on my passport the stamps said 21st June 2018 instead of 23 March 2019. I just realized that now. Should I be worried ? Do I need to contact the USCIS. the Poe officer took my sealed envelope and everything.

The stamp on your passport is, by design, only valid for 1 year (or less) and is only used in a supplemental fashion for the times when your green card is not available. One of those times is now, between landing at the airport and receiving your GC in the mail. Once your GC arrives in the mail you'll see that it's valid for two years.

I'm not sure how long it will take for a CR-1 holder to get their green card but if you have an issue with your POE stamp, you can contact your local CBP deferred inspection site not USCIS.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

In theory, your Green Card should arrive withing a few weeks.  If it has not arrived withing a month of POE, I would get an infopass appointment to report the issue.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

read your visa.

When endorsed the visa becomes an I-551 (green card) valid for 1 year.

It doesn't matter what the stamp says itself, just that it endorses the visa.

if you have paid the new immigrant fee for the green card production you should have it within 6 months.  Generally speaking it arrives within a couple months but I've seen it take longer.  If it hasn't arrived within 6 months you need to start contacting the USCIS about the issue.

Thank you all for your replies.

I guess I will wait a month before contacting them.

Do you think that mistake on my passport will be an issue for 6 point I'd verification of the DMV ?

Possibly because not everyone is intelligent enough to read thoroughly.  But many of us have to correct our SAVE Database anyhow even with everything being correct.
