Police Clearance - UAE

Hi guys!

I lived in the UAE for almost the last 3 years, and I went to check how to get their police clearance certificates. Our lawyer found out at the website of the USA embassy in the UAE that the PC of people who lived there are waived because the government doesn't provide it to non residents. (Myself have the copy of the website with me, that consular agents are advised to waive it in this situation). My plan is to get my PC from Brazil (And the states I lived - my future interview will be there) and take this page with me regarding the UAE Police Clearance, just in case).

Has anyone had the same situation?

This is actually fairly common so don't worry about it at all. Just bring that page with you and you should be fine. What consulate is this for?

That's great news! I was a bit worried about this, since I was scared to feel insecure without this document. This is for the Brazilian Consulate in Rio, where my interview will be held one day (I'm brazilian, lived in the UAE for the last 2,5 years, and I'm in the US under a tourist visa - will stay till its end and will head to Brazil to spend some time with my family and wait for the process there). Me and my husband just filed our case, and we have a lawyer ahead of it.

Ok good. So like I said bring that paperwork with you to show them that you can not get a PCC from the UAE. Some embassies like the one in the Philippines are very much aware of this while others are not. So just bring the paperwork and you shouldn't have an issue.

I assume you lived in the UAE before as well (I met many filipinos there). The paperwork I have is basically one page of the US embassy in the UAE website stating that the UAE PCs are waived.

I am not Filipino but my wife is, and we actually met while we were both working in Qatar. I am one of the guys in the Philippine subforum that helps out quite abit and this question is brought up ALL THE TIME, so I am well versed in this.

Some people freak out about how they can't get a PCC from one of the Gulf countries and we inform them that this is not an issue just bring the documentation that you have and at the most the CO will go back in the back to verify it before coming back out.

Great, great news, and one less paperwork to do as well.

Many thanks for the info!

Hi,

I had the same situation few days ago in my interview, the officer accepted the online version of Dubai PC.

I was a previous resident in UAE and was asked for a clearance from dubai.

If you are a previous resident you can request for one from this website. once its processed they will send you a copy it usually takes 24 hours to process.

Hello!

I have a small doubt: Did you take your clearance from Dubai Police straight to the interview or did you send to NVC as well? If you didn't send to NVC, did you get a RFE for not sending it?

Anyone can help me with his please? 🙏

Can I take the clearance from Dubai Police straight to the interview or should I send to NVC as well? If I don't send to NVC, would I get a RFE for not sending it?

No updates yet. As far as I know the CO waive it,  It’s stated on the US Embassy in the UAE website. I’m just in doubt about the PC from the Dubai Police mentioned above, if I should send it during the NVC phase or just bring it to the interview as an add on since It’s waived.

It's good to send what you have just to be on the safe side
