- Shouldn't they have been deported already? If we know they abused their privilege it seems like that should have been dealt with as a separate issue from the poisoning.

Diplomatic Immunity is always complicated. Besides that the host country may not want the diplomat to know that the host country knows that the diplomat has abused his/her privilege at  given time. Its not always parking tickets if you know what I mean.

Agreed, should have been done years ago once their malfeasance was uncovered.  I imagine there are quite a few from many countries in this boat that should probably be expelled as well.
