Yes, I filled the form out online (if memory serves) and I received an email fairly promptly confirming my fiancee could come along. They check your name against a list outside the embassy so it's a step you'll have to take.

To be honest though, I'm not sure having my fiancee there made any difference, other than keeping my anxiety in check.

thanks for the info :) I filled the form out on Tuesday morning but I still haven't heard anything back :/ hopefully I will soon!!

Update: It's been pretty much a week now since I filled out the form asking if my fiance can enter the embassy with me, and I've not heard anything from them. I assume at this point I'm probably not going to get a response from them before Thursday so I guess I will just bring Alex along and hope they let him in anyways! fingers crossed :)

I'm sorry this is causing you more anguish than necessary. It's mind boggling that there's no way to contact the embassy except via the email system, and yet they don't respond in any timely manner.

it's okay, I don't mind too much! It would just be nice to know if he can come in with me or not lol! If he can't, he'll be fine sitting in a cafe and reading a book :)
