Hello everybody, My name is Marwan and I am a Green Card holder. I've applied to my spouse through California service center the form I-130, and since I applied on October 25th, 2016 they contacted me via Email and text message to let me know that they have received my case and provided me with a receipt number. However, I called them several times asking about my case and as always the answer is to wait until your priority date which is the October 25th of the next year.In the meantime, I cant do anything except waiting, and now they are working on the month of November cases according to the USCIS processing time chart, and recently I sent them a service request and I should hear from them in less than two weeks.

anybody can offer a help, more than 15 months of waiting for the approval.

CSC is pretty much backlogged, it seems they are currently processing Sept 2016 petitions with posted time range of 15-18 months average. May be in a month or two, you will receive your  NOA2.

At least one good aspect is that now you don’t have to wait that long for NVC processing after NOA2.

Spouse:

2015-08-17: I-130 approved

Unfortunately not true right now; CSC approved me on February 8th and I still havent heard from them with a case number, despite calling them several times. They are also really backed up.

Wat not true? F2A usually takes more than 2 years. If 15-18 months is already consumed in USCIS processing, then one needs to wait around 6-9 months till interview, that’s wat i am talking about.

You are out of the regular processing time for F2A, officially, now that they modified the Processing Times, they might tell you basically to wait, but you have to wait for that response, please let us know after that, what they tell you. Some cases get stuck in one of the parts of the process, and a little inquiring sometimes help.

Good Luck, keep the spirit up,

@Jimmy The Tulip, what @arken said was about processing, not about time when NVC receives it. I interpreted it as the people that their cases were ready to process, but were stuck at NVC because the dates on the Visa Bulletin didn't move forward, or completed at NVC, and had to wait for months and months for the same thing.

Security checks are often an issue that causes delay, a big part of those are not done by USCIS, but by external agencies.

You should be hearing something between today and May 14th.

Good Luck, hang in there, you are closer to the end than you think.

If things move forward and with some luck, in 6 to 8 months could be your interview, and everything would be completed.
