Hi everyone,

Hubby and I submitted his N-400 a few weeks ago via paper filing. We already have the NOA1 and have set up a myUSCIS account.  And yes they converted his packet to a IOE so now technically its an online filing now.

My question is it wasn't till a little while ago we realized through looking through our own copy of the N-400 that we accidentally made a minor mistake on the section about trips outside of the US. We've only taken two trips outside of the US to the UK where hes from. Both only a couple of weeks each. On one of the trips we left on July 17th but we accidentally put July 15th. The return date is correct and the dates on the other trip are correct too. This is the only error we made. Both of us have been working long hours at our jobs so it must've been a minor cognitive slip.

Others here have said just make the correction at interview. But is there anyone on here who has actually went through this experience where they made an error on travel times and corrected it at interview? Does the IO typically make a big deal of it when you tell them of the correction at interview? I don't want them getting suspicious when it was an honest mistake. We also had attached our Airline e-tickets when we mailed our packet so it shows the correct dates on them.

Also on myUSCIS I noticed there's a section to add documents even though the application is already submitted but it also says USCIS is not required to review or accept it. Should we attach a file listing the correct date? Or just wait for interview and correct it then?

Your timeline reflects you are still in the K-1 process. N-400 doesnt take place till years later after that so how could you have already filed it?

tbh, it never came up in the interview. The Korean lady (USCIS agent) that processed my interview never actually went into my travels, because i wasn't sure anyways. Nobody is always 100% sure with exact date of travels sometimes. My passport stamps of some travels, where blurry at best. I got delayed for other reasons, but i wasn't asked about a slight change like that. I had a lawyer representing me, but the interview was only me and USCIS agent

don't sweat it. I passed the oral, written and reading test with flying colors. that was the first part, then the paperwork check and she went right on it, why i was delayed.  nothing major just needed more paperwork. Do take your stamp on your passport to show it and you'll be good. Minor stuff like that can be corrected easily, since you didn't mean to lie.

It's a very very minor error---so don't worry about it too much.  Just tell the IO that you need to make a correction regarding travel history at the beginning of your interview.

I forgot to include an entire trip during my N400 application that the IO mentioned during my interview last year.  Completely forgot to include it on my application because I completely forgot I'd taken the trip at all (being Canadian, I had no passport stamps to rely on and my travel history dates were all estimates anyhow).  IO just typed in the dates herself and didn't even bat an eye at it or ask me why I didn't mention it, etc.

My husband just had his citizenship interview. I organized a binder of evidences and paperwork for him to bring in. The paper in the first page said Travel date correction. Showing the departure date for one of our UK dates that needed to be corrected. Saying the trip we had in 2015 had to have the departure date corrected from July 15th 2015 to July 17th 2015. When the IO got to that part of the application my husband said to look in the binder because he is bad at dates, he didn't remember to actually tell him there needed to be a correction made. But I had the paper about the correction listed on page 1. Should we be concerned?
