I 130 - Travel Proofs

Hi Everyone,

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

We are almost at the end of our form filling process. We had a couple of queries about proofs (we are married for 2+ years)

- My wife has dual citizenship - US and UK. Some of our travels together are stamped in her UK passport as it was convenient etc. can we show the passport pages from the UK passport as proof of our travels? We unfortunately, dont have any boarding pass stubbs. We do have the online reservations but are aware, that, they would not necessarily mean travelled together. We will be submitting pictures from those trip as well as additional proof.

- We also used to live together in Uganda in 2014 - 15,  for a brief time before I moved to another country. The school that she worked for gave a letter confirming that we lived together for the duration. That can be submitted too right?

- Also, read that USCIS now accepts i130 filing fees via Credit Card (form 1450) anyone tried that?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Have a great day.

Thanks

Emmo

if your wife has dual citizenship that for travel together you can just make a copy of her passport pages that you folks traveled together. Also have a copy of boarding pass, tickets, hotel booking, and photos to support those trip.

Secondly, paying fees Online with Govt. agency I would think twice. Just send them a regular check and have peace of mind. (this is my thought)

Just to be clear - if your wife hasn't dual citizenship then she MUST use her US passport to enter the US. You say that some travel was on her U.K. passport as it was easier, but make sure none if that was travel to the USA or you will face huge problems. If she is travelling within Europe then it absolutely makes sense to use her U.K. passport. You didn't mention where the travel was.

Boarding passes are also sufficient.

If you don’t have boarding passes, don’t worry, the itineraries, passport stamps will do.

Not sure if the letter carries that much weight but doesn’t hurt to include. Provide any other evidences too from that time.

Yes, USCIS accepts i130 fee with credit card, it’s on their website.
