So I'm petitioning for a K1 visa and have received NOA1 and am nearing the end of the wait for NOA2 and am trying to prepare for the affidavit of support. But some unfortunate issues have come up and I had to leave my job. I should have a new job soon (albeit at a lower pay rate) but I have a few questions I was hoping someone could help me out with.

1. If my new job is a temporary position will that negatively affect things? I have an interview lined up for a job I am 100% certain I can get, but it's a temporary position and the end date is unknown.

2. I've met 100% of the income requirement on the tax forms for last year (2017), but I'm not sure I've met it for the year before and am almost 100% certain I didn't meet it in 2015. Will having a job that meets the requirement be enough to show I can support my fiance? Even if that income is from a job I would have started at best a month before getting NOA2?

3. Would having two part time jobs be of any help as opposed to a full time temporary? (or even a combination of a full-time/part-time job or two full-times jobs)

I don't really have assets I can use to help, and a joint sponsor is pretty much out of the question too.

I really appreciate any help anyone has to offer on this, I'm kinda freaking out a bit over this.

(Can't find an edit button so apologies ahead of time)

So to clarify I've looked up the tax transcripts and met the income requirements for 2017 and 2016, but I was only at about half of the needed amount for 2015.

And after reviewing the guides, it seems I was mistaken on the timing of when I'll need the affidavit of support. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong please, but the I-134 isn't actually needed until it's time for the alien beneficiary to schedule the interview and then she'd take it with her right?)

Correct she would take it at the interview. Depending on the country involved they may ask for a co-sponsor even if you meet the required amount but just barely.

You say a co-sponsor is out of the question, but you should prob start asking around just in case you get stuck there. The consulate will want to make sure she has someone to support her and she could get AP pending a co-sponsor, so I always think it's best to have one and have them fill out paperwork and not need it than go into interview without it.

It can be any person, friend, family as long as they are USC and meet income requirement.

Neither 2 part time job nor 1 temporary full time job look super great but you could do either while looking for your permanent full time job

It'd be hourly, but it'd be about 158% of the federal income guideline? (My understanding being that I need 125% for the later binding Affidavit, and 100% for the non-binding I-134) Hopefully that'd be enough to make up for falling short in 2015.

And I'll start poking around for co-sponsors but I don't think I'll have much luck. She's in Russia, so she should be able to actually schedule the interview herself I think? Or at the least there will be some delays that would give me a little bit of time.

For the I-864, that is filed as part of the AoS package correct? And so I'd need to try and stay in the same job during the Adjustment process? (We were planning on moving up north once she was here, so I wanna make sure I'm not going to screw up the Adjustment process by leaving a job.)

and thanks for the help! I really appreciate it. This forum has been an amazing find, I wish I'd stumbled upon it sooner.
