It’s the economy, or are you suggesting the Dems are planning on torpedoing the economy for political gain?

I haven't noticed a waiver at both schools neither in California nor Florida. In California there was no way I could enroll my kids at the Pre-K without vaccinations, they specifically sent me a letter and I had to jump through a lot of hoops to get their Dutch vaccines recognized. They already were vaccinated, but in the Netherlands one of the vaccines they don't get until age 9, in America they have to have it at age 4 or 5. Parents do judge, when I tell people I don't let my kids get the flu vaccine they react very extreme like I committed a massacre or something. And maybe you missed it, but couple years ago there was a national discussion about parents who refused to vaccine their kids against the measles

A couple things. First of all I am aware California is a rare exception (along with Alabama I believe) that doesn't allow a waiver. California is pretty authoritarian so that shouldn't surprise anyone. Secondly for the sake of argument let's say I chose not to vaccinate my kids. How would anyone even know if I didn't tell anyone? How could they criticize me if they didn't know?

Well about the economy, it's currently healthy but Donnie's numbers are still in the toilet. The Dems don't need to sabotage the economy, Donnie is doing a great job by himself in keeping his numbers low.

As to tariffs, I agree, but those most likely will be short term and the economy will bounce back afterward, the corporate tax breaks are still around.  Now, if the Dems are advocating higher taxes, which I believe some of their leaders are, who knows.  I think Walter Mondale ran on raising taxes.

As to the other, I believe his numbers have been climbing, but who cares.  If the Dems run a far left radical or another crooked candidate who knows what will happen.  Heck, one of the best bright spots the Dems tout is Pennsylvania 18, and that Democrat candidate was one of those bible thumping gun toting folks Obama was talking about a few years ago.

They wouldn't criticize you personally, but the general opinion ( which is you vaccinate your kid, or you're the most horrible parent on earth) is pressuring enough to make people do it. Or to put in more formal language:

AAP Refusal to Vaccinate Form
Health care providers may decide it is in their best interest to formally document a parent's refusal to accept vaccination for a minor child. This form, (also available in Spanish and Microsoft Word ) which should not be considered a legal document without advice from a lawyer, may be used as a template for such documentation.

AAP Policy
The current AAP Policy, Responding to Parental Refusals of Immunization of Children,  can assist pediatricians in understanding the reasons parents may have for refusing to immunize their children, review the limited circumstances under which parental refusals should be referred to child protective services agencies or public health authorities, and provide practical guidance to assist the pediatrician faced with a parent who is reluctant to allow immunization of his or her child.

Well Dow Jones has been down, and Don hasn't been touting it of late. When it's great it represents the economy, when it's bad it doesn't . Odd that.

well the turnout was great

doug jones, Ralph norton, Phil Murphy and Conor Lamb all support gun control. None of the defeated GOP opponents did.

I like to believe that I wish the same freedom to others, as I wish to myself. Even if I don't agree with their point of view of that person or group.

Unless of course it's IS, or the Nazi's.

"Despite the widely held belief that guns are effective for protection, our results suggest that they actually pose a substantial threat to members of the household. People who keep guns in their homes appear to be at greater risk of homicide in the home than people who do not. Most of this risk is due to a substantially greater risk of homicide at the hands of a family member or intimate acquaintance. We did not find evidence of a protective effect of keeping a gun in the home, even in the small subgroup of cases that involved forced entry."

Had guns in the house for just over 100 years.  No one ever got shot.

My results suggest you need to find a better source for info.  Yours is complete bull puckey.

But that's not happening right now, right? At least in my opinion it's not.

Also personally I think laws are dynamic; meaning the world changes so do morals, beliefs etc. Some things weren't accepted 50 years or 100 years ago, and today they are.

Not so far back in US history, it was ok to open carry.  It was also ok to draw your weapon and kill a person for calling you a cheat and a liar.  Or any other form of denigrating you or your family.  See how far we’ve come?

Years and years ago the NRA believed everyone who bought any type of gun had to register them with the Federal government. See how far we've regressed?

Heck they were even the proponents of gun control.
