For the folks who feel that their right to defend themselves are being violated:

Some parents don't want to vaccine their kids, they are convinced that the vaccines are doing more harm then good. Not getting the kids vaccinated is not possible, unless you decide to home school your kids.

They have their arguments why they don't want to have their kids vaccinated, be it right or wrong, there is no way a school will enroll their kids. Here in America...why? Because it's considered a risk to other kids, even if they are vaccinated.

Are the rights  of the unwilling parents violated? Possibly yes, cause they are forced to do something they don't want to. But it's still mandatory, and most people believe that parents who don't vaccinate their kids are a threat to society.

Bottom line, sometimes it's hard to tell where someone's rights end, and where someone's else's start.

Actually with the exception of a couple states that is not true at all. Just about every state has a vaccine waiver form you can fill out to enroll an unvaccinated child.

Those kids marching have the right to feel safe and protected.

And me and my family have the right to feel safe too. That is why I own guns. When seconds count police are minutes (or longer) away.

Regardless if the states have such a waiver ( something most people don't know probably, schools don't list it as a possibility) other parents judge the ones who don't want to vaccinate.

No one is taking away your guns right? They are marching for their own safety, that's their right whether  you like it or not. You've the choice to march or protest in any other way for your rights ( I believe the NRA is going to sue states like Florida, so if you're part of the NRA you're rights are being defended)  No one is preventing that.

My husband owns guns too, but it doesn't make me either feel safer or unsafe. I think he has the right to own them cause he is being very responsible. But I also believe those kids have the right to feel safe, and if marching is their way to achieve more safety, I can only support that.

"Despite the widely held belief that guns are effective for protection, our results suggest that they actually pose a substantial threat to members of the household. People who keep guns in their homes appear to be at greater risk of homicide in the home than people who do not. Most of this risk is due to a substantially greater risk of homicide at the hands of a family member or intimate acquaintance. We did not find evidence of a protective effect of keeping a gun in the home, even in the small subgroup of cases that involved forced entry."

First of all when I registered my step son for school the vaccination form had a waiver section on the back of it. Not hard to find at all. He is vaccinated by the way. Just pointing out its not that hard to find. Secondly how can parents judge other parents who don't vaccinate if they are unaware that they don't vaccinate?

They have a first amendment right to march and protest and I fully support their right to do so. However I also have a second amendment right. As soon as they stop exercising their first amendment right and try to infringe on my second amendment right that is when there will be an issue. By the way I prefer Gun Owners of America over the NRA.

This is off course something you could have Googled, but what you think about safety?

I like safety.

Obviously if you take it to extreme you would never get up in the morning.

I haven't noticed a waiver at both schools neither in California nor Florida. In California there was no way I could enroll my kids at the Pre-K without vaccinations, they specifically sent me a letter and I had to jump through a lot of hoops to get their Dutch vaccines recognized. They already were vaccinated, but in the Netherlands one of the vaccines they don't get until age 9, in America they have to have it at age 4 or 5. Parents do judge, when I tell people I don't let my kids get the flu vaccine they react very extreme like I committed a massacre or something. And maybe you missed it, but couple years ago there was a national discussion about parents who refused to vaccine their kids against the measles

But that's not happening right now, right? At least in my opinion it's not.

Also personally I think laws are dynamic; meaning the world changes so do morals, beliefs etc. Some things weren't accepted 50 years or 100 years ago, and today they are.

LOL the NRA stooping as low as to pick on kids, mind you they're just following in the footsteps of their Dear Leader.

Interesting, you mention that it is wrong to compare this type of march to the Hitler Youth, but you have no issue calling the president a name based on a noted socialist.

Yeah, No need to live life being concerned and overly worried bout what might happen. But sometimes things can go hand in hand.

A person who loves paragliding or parachute jumping,  makes sure the parachute is safe.

If you are going to have a go at the Constitutional amendments why not do it in numerical order?
