The WSJ is reporting Trump was ready to veto, but aides told him going to Mar-a-Lago on the weekend during a gov shutdown would be bad optics. Hmm...but he's such a selfless stand up guy!

I tend to agree that Trump screwed up on this one.  With Chuckie and his gal pal Nancy gleefully boasting, he should have vetoed it and sent those idiots in Congress back to work.  His supporters would have made sure that the DNC was the cause of the government shutdown, but instead, I think he may have guaranteed he will be a one term president.

The bill had enough votes to be veto proof but he should have vetoed it on principle. The worst part to me is the $500 million going to the eugenisists at planned parenthood. I really don't want my money funding such a disgraceful scummy group. If the liberals want to fund them they are free to write them a check but they would rather use other people's money to carry out their eugenics operation.

Must be nice to have a job where you can vote to give yourself a pay raise. No one in Congress Republican or Democrat deserves a pay raise. If anything they need their pay cut and term limits put in place. The more I look at this bill the more I am disgusted with both parties.
