Made a huge mistake on applying a US passport

Hi everyone,                                                                 I need help/advices. Here’s the thing; on March 21st 2018 i applied for US passport for the first time at my Local post office. I paid and extra $60.00 for expedited process and also paid for overnight return delivery. Now, my question, is it possible it will arrive before my flight on April 9th 2018? Right now I don’t know what to do. I should just applied it thru passport agency since I am traveling in 2 weeks. Does anybody experienced the same thing? Thanks

You can call for status update - search travel.state.gov for the number.

At the post office didn't they give you an estimated date on when it will arrive?

Mine took 15 days from application at the post office to I had it in hand and I didn't pay for expedited. It seems they are processing them much faster than the estimates. Hope you get it in time.

I hope so too. How long did it take for them to cashed your payment?

Two of my friends received their passport in 2 weeks without expedited service.  Don't worry about it. If you don't receive your passport one week before your departure day, just call the number listed here:

Did you end up getting your passport in time for your trip on April 9? (I hope so!)

Thankfully Yes. I received  my Passport on the 30th of March (10days total from the date of submission). And I received my Naturalization Certificate on April 4th.

Yay! It's so nice to hear that sometimes, things do go well with parts of this process. :-)
