Hello!!

Very sorry if this has been asked before, I can’t find a thread about it!

My husband is american from New York and we are filling I-130 for me, canadian born.

It says to provide any extra proof of a bona fide mariage - my friends who did canadian paperwork for their spouses had to include pictures of the wedding, plane tickets of travels together etc, so I collected a bunch of these for us but can’t find any information about how or if I should submit pictures, travel stubs etc with the I-130? For the canadian immigration they even ask for social media print out pages showing a relationship and all, but nothing in the US one so I am confused!

Many thanks!!

Provide evidence of the time you spend together in person.  Often that is in passports or boarding passes, etc.  Not a need for lots of relationship evidence in cases where the spouse is immigrating from Canada.  Photos together, are good too.

I included photos( I taped them into clear sheets and dated them 4 to a sheet and I did about 3 sheets, bank statement with our names, 2 notarized letters from friends and family verifying our relationship, marriage certificate, screenshots of WhatsApp chats and also a couple of my photos were screenshots of facetime chats

We live together in Montreal, we travelled together to a few places for vacation and to visit his family! I should include that as well?

So if I submit pictures, some notarized letters, plus our joint bank account, cellphone bills and heat/electricity bills it should be enough? I am nervous to not send “proper” proofs! In the canadian immigration package, its very precise and explained into minute details how to submit pictures and emails etc

I know exactly how you feel. The anxiety and stress is like a living thing choking the life out of me through this process... triple checking everything before you send off and praying you are doing it correctly and providing enough information and the correct information. It sounds like the Canadian system is very meticulous. If I were you, I’d follow the Canadian guidelines and requirements ( just to soothe yourself and cover all your bases) WHILE also making sure it coincides with uscis guidelines. More info cannot hurt. My package was pretty heavy and I was pleased upon sending it off. I felt like I read thousands and thousands of how to’s and what to include so I was fine and then OVERJOYED upon NOA1. 👏🏽 Good luck ! Let me know if you want cover page and I’ll send it to you  @S Brennan

Just the fact that you actually live together as husband and wife is enough relationship evidence.  Sure, throw in some photos but living together covers all the bases.

Yes pleaaaaase!! I want all the help I can get haha! I love my husband, but he is the whimsical type that believes that love wins :P if it was up to him we’d just need to send a few pictures of us smooching, our cat adoption papers and voilà! Lol!! Can I post my email address on this? I am not too sure if its allowed/safe ?
