Hi!
I applied for AOS and EAD in August 2017 and still haven't received a decision. I have made maybe 4 service request regarding my EAD which one I just received a response with "It is currently under review and you'll receive a decision shortly". No dates, nothing. The congressman in the state I live in has contacted USCIS for me and they got back with the reply "EAD is currently under review and if you don't receive a decision within 60 days you can contact us again". Seriously? Have I not waited long enough?

My AOS is also taking a long time. Others who applied via the same field office, 2 months after me already have their GC.

My question now is - is there a point booking a infopass? Or will they just give me the same information as a tier 2? The office is a 3hour drive from me and I would be so upset if they just say "There is nothing we can do". My husband is away with the military and I am just upset about being alone here.

At this point you have been waiting 6+ months, I would definitely go, you have nothing to lose (well except some gas money) but I think regardless of the outcome of the infopass, at least you will know you tried everything. I believe it is also easier to plead your case in person than over the phone. From my understanding, people at the local office are like Tier 2 but some people were lucky enough with a person they met that actually cared and made their case move towards approval.

Also emphasize the fact that your spouse is deployed and it is getting hard financially or even to go visit him since you dont have your AP/EAD.

Have you asked your husband to try to talk to one of his officer here in the US to contact USCIS on your behalf? Or maybe call USCIS  military line and try to see if they might help, I doubt they can do anything but you never know.

Finally if you have not contacte the Ombudsman, please do.

I really pray you get a pleasant surprise next week, before heading there. God bless

Someone wrote in another post that they went to an infopass and the officer said that they really wanted to help but they couldn't as the case was still with the NBC. I have a feeling that I'll receive the same information.
I always call the military helpline, but it is the same people as if you call the normal uscis line, only that they answer your call faster.
I can not visit my husband until he comes back unfortunately :/
But I kinda just feel stuck here because of all this. I have some friends in other states and I would love to go visit them. But I am just terrified that I'll receive post from USCIS and miss some important information.
I really appreciate your reply! Big thanks!

I feel the same. I applied AOS and EAD in October, but still nothing. They made my name typo error and it took 4 months to update my name. After updating my name in March, I talked to Tier 2 and they told me that my fingerprints that I took in November didn't go through. If I didn't call USCIS I wouldn't know. So frustrating..

On the same day that I contacted Senator in Seattle and Ombudsmen, I received RFE letter saying I need to send tax return(I only sent W2). I also received their respond letter for my SR that I sent online in January 25th. They said all my applications will be on hold until I respond to RFE. They received my respond on March 22nd and said they will resume my applications. I just received an email from the Senator saying "my applications are under review, and I will receive a decision or notice of other actions shortly".

My husband is in military and is scheduled for deployment. I requested to get expedited in January. For AOS they said "No". For EAD they will review my applications. I don't expect to get expedited anymore. I am gonna call USCIS again and will try to talk to Tier 2 cuz I still have no idea what is going on with my fingerprints. I also booked Infopass in Seattle office for next Friday. I have to drive 2 hours tho. If I go there, I will let you know.

I hope you get approved soon!!!

I received my EAD yesterday but it doesn't seem like anyone has even looked at my GC application yet (And I applied in August).
I requested to have my GC expedited before my husband left but it was also denied. So now I am all alone here and cant even go back to spend time with my family (Like most other military wives do). The EAD only allows me going abroad for a short time.
If you need someone to talk to, send me a message. Being a military spouse can be hard, especially when they deploy.

Awww that's so sweet of you. I can't imagine myself being alone here after my husband leaves for the deployment in summer. So sad.. If you need someone to talk to, just msg me too.

I just checked USCIS account and it says I-131 and I-765 are approved yesterday and they sent me a notice by mail. I wonder how long it is gonna take to recieve EAD card since it is approved. I hope it doesn't take too long.

I talked to Tier 2 to ask about my fingerprints that didn't go through. They received my response to RFE, and they are working on my case I-485. I should receive any notice within a month. I hope you receive any notice for your GC application soon.
