DESCHEDULED INTERVIEWS

Hi all.. i would appreciate very much your opinion with my situation:

 

Miami Field Office

 

I e-filed n-400 on january 3rd 2018. Got  FP done on jan 9th, and received interview letter on march 1st. However, that same day I also received a letter from USCIS that states that USCIS descheduled the interview due to unforeseen circumstances.

 

Any thoughts? have any of you heard that before? should I worry?

It happens.  Sometimes because the office will be closed that day, or a scheduling conflict with the officer processing your case.

All you can do is wait for a new letter with your rescheduled interview date.  Be aware sometimes this can be a couple of weeks, sometimes a few months to get a new date.

I am currently an oversees gov't worker and my wife had her interview de-scheduled as well. Being overseas I am able to talk more closely with the immigration officer and we were told that it is not just my wife's case (N-400) but currently all cases and that there was no "get well date". We were able to keep our "date" but if things weren't fixed/figured out/corrected by that date we would not be able to have her take the oath. Per the first reply it wasn't because the officer was out of office or anything because he basically gave us a pick of any day we wanted. 

 

It seems like the immigration officer had no idea when things would start up again and if anyone else has anymore knowledge on the matter that would be great!

My interview was de-scheduled due to bad weather. USCIS called me to notify me that it was cancelled a day before the interview. I got the cancellation notice by mail later. They sent another notice in about 30 days to reschedule it about 30 days later from the notice date. All in all it got delayed by two months.

My Interview was set, then 24hours later it was descheduled. I received both letters in the mail on the same day. I was then re-scheduled for interview 4 weeks later. Orlando is my field office.
