And I can't find it.

Much to my chagrin, I will no longer be able to watch Coronation Street or Eastenders once I move :crying:, these are the only shows I watch faithfully and am afraid that I might go through withdrawls (my R. is already scared  )

Please link me to the old thread or provide your info here :)

I'm going to copy this link to Ewen, because he uses a torrent that lets him watch all these UK TV shows, but damned if I know how it works.

You may find difficulty joining at first as the site has a limit on how many members they take on. However, they release a few hundred members per day so just keep trying throughout the day and you'll find success at some point.

Then download a bit torrent software such as http://bittornado.com/

Downloading torrents is easy. Just install the torrent software. Then look for the television programme you want to watch and download the associated torrent file to your computer and open it in the torrent software. After a while the programme will be downloaded to your computer and you can watch it using your favourite media player.

Bit Torrents: Download free software such as "Bit Torrent" and install it. Find things on torrent sites you want to download. The "Bit Torrent" software manages the download. It's basically file sharing but set up differently than simple downloads. Some torrent communities prefer that you share or leave your torrent open once you've finished the download so that others can 'seed' from you. (Seeders are the ones who supply the data, leechers and the ones getting the data.) Once your program/clip is downloaded it runs on any of the various media players. (Some sites are strictly against copyright infringement, so will host things like live music shows that won't be produced commercially. I'm not sure where tv shows fall into that mix.)

Anyway, that's the bird's eye view of them. Not that hard to do really once you've done a couple.

All that being said, there are also places where they provide the torrent without any special software requirements. You can google "torrent" and the name of the show and usually get at least a couple of simple download sites. Once you find one, chances are that they'll keep posting the same shows. :)
