US Citizen Spouse denied visa US Embassy Ghana

OMG!

What is going on here?!?

Your husband may be different but that doesn't change the fact that Ghana is known for being a high fraud visa country and that it usually takes longer.

It's NOT because of your race!

The embassy is simply doing what they have to do.

This site is useless. Why cant anyone answer this simple question.  Why US Embassy do not give a formal letter explaining their proof that my Husband is likely to become a public charge?  My second question. How do we move forward with his case since we have proven without a reasonable doubt that he has overcome this public charge?

His career has nothing to do with it. AGE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT.

WE made money, both me and my Husband. My Husband sends money monthly to pay Our bills in Atlanta. He pays his lights food gas ect in Ghana. Why must we live separate when the US Embassy have zero reason tto lawfully deny his visa. I helped my Husband overcome 212 (a) (4).

My Husband is the head of our Household. He pays for my flights back and forth the Ghana. Due to my work right now in America I cannot be flying back and forth. I will fight. I am a US Citizen and my speculationis this. Because Im African American and my Husband is Ghanaian, his visa is being denied because of Our Race.

I will fight. And I got nothing else to say on this post. No info was useful. You people looking at Us as fault when all the Fault is at that lawless unethical kangaroo US Embassy in Ghana not following the law but allowing opinions of CO mess up people life. And check yourself...they cannot stop my Husband from living at his own home in America. Both our names are on the deed. The Embassy cannot violate my 4th and 14th Amendment rights. All they are doing is delaying Us. And my time is valuable and they wont keep my Husband from his home with Me.

OP,

There is no need to get frustrated. VJ community is asking all this questions so that they can come up with the helpful answers you are seeking.

Are you of Ghanaian origin?

Need to remember one thing very important: Immigration is not a right, it is a privilege.

The embassy in Ghana (and other high fraud countries) have been tricked into being hard. Fraudulent applicants made it hard for legitimate applicants.

Take a step back and ask yourself what could you and your husband have done wrong? Don't think your case is solid just because you think it is.

$31K  in New York city is not enough to support a family of 2. I know it is beyond the 125% poverty guidelines, but New York city is very expensive. I lived in New York for 8 years and I know exactly how expensive it is.

11/17/2016: Got engaged
11/28/2016: I-130 sent to Chicago IL lock box
01/12/2016: NOA1

:-) this is a free website so you are of course permitted to flounce off if you don’t like the replies.

They dont provide a letter of ‘proof’ because they aren’t required to, it is up to you to prove he won’t become a burden on society. Footballer is hardly a secure profession, what if he gets injured? Does he have any coaching qualifications, all the footballers I know ( I know two professionals, but lower leagues of the uk) have also been getting coaching qualifications for when they are inevitably either too injured or too old to play professionally.

Now you wait for the NOIR(D) sorry can’t remember which it is technically. Then you get all of your evidence to refute the exact wording they put in it. Then it gets sent back to the embassy and he does another interview.

Your race has nothing to do with this, people who are white petitioning for their Ghanaian spouses get refused all the time. It is considered a high fraud country because your husbands countrymen have targeted us citizens (usually white older women but not always). It sucks if you are not the victim of this but have to deal with the higher scrutiny.

What do we have to check? We would give the same response of a visa is a privilege not a right to everyone no matter what their race, religion, creed, sexual orientation, or gender expression. It is what it is.

Immigration reform is needed but not to reduce scrutiny of who will become a public charge.

Alright. MULTIPLE people have offered MULTIPLE. OPTIONS/SUGGESTIONS. of what you should or could do next. I have seen more than one person invite you to contact them directly for more detailed conversation, of which I can't be sure if you've ignored or not, but I know it's been given to you here. You are choosing to look past the ones that don't fit your preference, is how it comes off to me. Hopefully I am wrong.

Nobody here can tell you why you didn't get a formal letter - if any of us worked for USCIS or Immigration, we probably wouldn't BE HERE asking questions just like you, because we'd know better. But here we are.

There are multitudes of interracial couples here going through these same motions as you - myself and my fiancé included - so jumping to the assumption that it's because of your or your fiancé's race is insulting to other couples and also a tad juvenile. It also will not help you get anywhere towards a resolution.

Again - people have given multiple suggestions. I'm not sure what exactly you expected by posting here - we are not lawyers. We are not legal counsel. We are people, just like you, stumbling through this mess all over the world. You can vent here, ask questions, share stories, but nobody here is going to sugarcoat it for you because that won't HELP you.

If you find this site so useless, you don't have to remain here. I'm sure we will all be just fine.

Bottom line - as I said on the other post about this same topic about the same people - USCIS/the Embassy do not CARE about your relationship. You are a case number to them. As someone else also pointed out, no one is guaranteed or has more right than anyone else to a visa - you have the right to PETITION and APPLY FOR a visa. If it were a "right", there wouldn't need to be an application process.

Again - aggravation aside, I hope you and your partner do find a way to work through this, as many others have before you and will after you, believe me. At the end of the day, it's all about getting to the finish line and being with one another. Be frustrated. Be angry. Anyone would be in this situation. But you also have to suck it up and keep pushing forward. Do the next step, whatever that may be that you see fit, and do what needs to be done.

Håll ut, y'all.

There is no age difference. Their is no religion involved. My Husband don't go to Church. We are not Muslims, Christians, Jews or whatever else religion you want to throw out there. Nothing is wrong with Us. Its that we met fell in love married and want to settle in US to live. We did nothing.  That Embassy in Ghana is just as lawless as the country Ghana is. We did everything legally. This is Why my Congressman is writing on my behalf. So stop your conspiracy theory. My rights as a US Citizen is being violated by a Lawless unethical US Embassy in Ghana. So if you cant answer the question. Move off the post. I need people who have solutions. Not those who are posting to point blame on Us. And Yes That is my Husband and I am his wife. What else you want to know.

Sorry. Immigration is a privilege. Not a right. You have the right to apply for a Visa. You do not have the right to GET a Visa. And it's against the TOS to tell people here that they cannot post.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
